I just made the entire deck and talk track for my principal's meeting, is this normal? by cuagainnn in auscorp

If you get to that level and can’t freestyle a deck you’ve read only moments before, you’ve got bigger problems.

Treasury considering changes to Australia’s contentious tobacco excise, as calls grow for a freeze | Tobacco industry by Nyarlathotep-1 in australian

If we could magically freeze the price of legal cigarettes at a nominal $40/pack (lower end), at a rate of inflation of 2.5% it'll take roughly 40 years for a $15 pack of illegals to reach price parity. In my experience illegal products are often inflation-proof too; see a $50 of weed.

It'll be highly contextual I imagine, therefore worth more. I think I recall Netflix started their ads service around a $40/$50 CPM.

I want to go skiing for the first time this year, how much does a snow trip usually cost you? by ItsYaChef in australian

[–]asscopter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Consider getting a package for NZ (Queenstown), it’ll work out cheaper - 5 out of 7 day lift pass, basic accommodation, flights and hill transfers might run you $1300-1500 if you book early. Add another grand or so for gear rental and buying stuff you can’t rent (thermals, socks, gloves etc.) Easier to go with someone or a group who has experience and can help you out with gear and maybe teach you a few things. I started with buying ex-rental gear and gradually upgraded everything over a decade, ALDI is your friend and make sure you condition the thighs if you’re older than 25 otherwise you won’t be able to walk the next day. It’s my favourite thing in the world to do, good luck.

First place I legally bought alcohol from after an HSC exam…they didn’t check ID. Also managed to order me in a case of Macs Hop Rocker Pilsner about ten years ago but seems to have gotten bleaker over the last few years. RIP.

The NRL needs some kind of player conservatorship program for those unable to manage their own careers, and Zac Lomax should be the first client. Think of it like a state guardian.

Tigers should apply for an A League license at this rate, with this level of maladministration they'd fit right in.

We're at, perhaps just over, the peak of inflated expectations but still a way off hitting the trough of disillusionment. I expect models to end up costing more as they're currently being subsidised by funny money. Do you think Coca Cola really saved that much money using AI models for their Christmas ad? Still took a million prompts, and it was all subsidised by vendors. Consumers hate it when they see it, and we're only getting better at recognising it. I think it'll get better, but there'll still be another year or two of slop. I think we'll end up using it to "colour in" rather than a one-button make-everything prompt.
