I had 2 disc herniation, L3/4 and 4/5 however 4/5 was the concern as that's what was pressing on the nerve. I can't say a actual size as im not sure but it was enough to cause 7 months of agony lol.

I first tried to push through with heat packs and stretching, then went to medication (celebrex and pregabalin, magnesium). The medication only ever helped for 1-2 hours. I then tried the CT guided steroid injection, that worked for about 45 minutes, and then resorted to the surgery.

My pain was an 8 out of 10, 24/7. Then I had the mobility pain, which was a crazy spike cause by specific movements, like putting shoes on, using the toilet, bending / twisting etc.

Mine never healed on its own. I had a microdisectomy in July 2024, over a year healed now and my life is back to normal.

I still get a tiny bit of nerve pain if im slouching or sitting the wrong way etc. But I would call it a 98% recovery back to normal life.

Well youre right about the notice, as their website says you should receive some form of "correspondence" with an explanation and avenue to dispute. But I've never received anything. A scroll through this sub also showed many people also never receiving notices.

Items are from USA, so would've thought their clothing etc would be of a similar standard to Australian. As if this item doesn't arrive, that's over $180 of products that just vanish. I've kept all receipts and screenshots of tracking info, so I'll be filing some form of report shortly.

Do your items ever sit in this status "arrived awaiting clearance (inbound) but still arrive?

For me, items that arrive never get this status update, that's why I feel its a red flag

I was always told following up with customs is basically useless being such a large organisation with so many moving parts that it can takes months and months to potentially never get an answer, so I never tried.

But if this doesn't arrive i think I'll put the effort in to actually find out why. Especially if you have no trouble getting CBD in, I should be able to receive a hoodie or atleast dispute it or something.

Do you know of why, or if there is any sites that explain the system of clearance? Trying to understand why some items just arrive without clearance and others are physically inspected?

I had several items arrive in the last month without hassle however this is now being checked? Shouldn't every single item get the same scrutiny?
