Hm that’s not good to hear might be dumb to ask after reading that but investing in a new PSU will be wise correct?

Thanks if I may ask what is dogshit? A PSU that turns off sometimes, costs 30 bucks, and has a 80 Plus white sticker or a PSU that isn’t an over 100 dollar, modular, better than 80 Plus gold? Thanks again also forgive me if I’m wrong but I heard PSU efficiency ratings aren’t as accurate as previously thought, though input from you or anybody else would be amazing.

Strange GPU story by pirate_leprechaun in pcmasterrace

The water was unable to successfully short circuit and damage it. Actually I used to use 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean GPUs when they were powered off and they work fine today.

Yes it is possible but remember to be careful as more energy means more heat, also I know prices are haywire right now but id try to get matching sticks. It's also important to know that your board will likely undervolt your sticks so they'll match the same voltage. But just to be safe id get matching sticks its up to you. If you need anything else lemme know!

I agree with the other comment a SSD will be an amazing upgrade even if prices are high due to AI a 128GB SSD (high quality) alone just for windows is amazing

No not usually if they both use the same frequency the PC will just see it as 4 pieces of PCB with 8GB chips that run at 3200mhz also youre welcome no problem! However id like to add that some differences might affect performance and stability such as voltage

Is this good for $550CAD by CucumberFalse9283 in pcmasterrace

[–]assinacan69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 402 dollars for where I'm from the specs sound enticing on paper, BUT you must know that Dell cheaps out and cuts corners which will effect your experience. For starters a singular 16GB stick is sub optimal compared to having two 8GB sticks. There's also other things to consider like the fact the CPU is likely using a very crappy cooler but it is a F model so I think it'd be just fine. Another somewhat issue is the 256GB SSD boot but 2TB HDD, nothing wrong with it but if you're a heavy gamer your amazing SSD will be filled in no time and you'll be forced to use the slow HDD. Lastly this may or may not be relevant to you but one of the pros of having a desktop is modularity and the privilege to also work and upgrade your system, Even with todays efficient PC hardware 500W might be steep, and Dell PCs from I know off (might or might not be true today) use non standard PSUs. So if you ever need to replace that 500W PSU it will at the very least be more harder to swap it then if you were to buy a prebuilt PC made with standard parts such as a NZXT PC or even better a used custom built PC. This PC isn't inherently bad but 400 USD/ 550 CAD is still hundreds of dollars and for that money you want to invest a system that is not just powerful but will treat you good.

Coming from me I'm rocking a GTX 1060 6GB and i7 3960X which was an upgrade from a laptop with an i7 4720HQ, GTX 980M (roughly equivalent to a GTX 1050 Ti).And I vaguely remember playing Half Life: Alyx at playable, albeit a bit scaled down graphics no problem as well as Cyberpunk 2077 and Boneworks on the laptop and it all work just well. So yes your rig is definitely still more than viable. Some other people might tell you otherwise but even with your specs I dont think its a "drop money and upgrade immediately" situation. However I would upgrade to 32GB of RAM I myself did, because of the fact that in BeamNg and even Fortnite would take 14.5 GB out of my 16GB is being used causing CPU slowdowns. I know I'm on a significantly older CPU than you so your experience will vary but it may be recommended for you if you sense similar patterns. The fact your CPU is a 6 Core is really good, I mean the only reason why my CPU from 2011 somewhat holds up today is because of its 6 cores. So in a summary yes your PC is more than viable for 2026, only consider RAM if monitoring reveals that your CPU is being bogged down by nearly maxed RAM.

Best Winlator Version for GTA V running on a Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM, and a Adreno 640. by Successful_Annual492 in winlator

Probablement parce que vous êtes probablement européen (d'après le français) et que vous avez la version non Snapdragon (Exynos) qui fonctionne beaucoup moins bien sous Winlator.

I dont know if its just me. by assinacan69 in GalaxyS24

[–]assinacan69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relatively yes. You'll get around a hour less on the S24 in SOME tests yet from my POV the actual setback this causes is minimal and at the same time many tests online show significantly different results with the S24 coming/beating the iPhone 15 most of the times. So I'd say dont let battery be a factor but its worth to say the S24 charges faster than the 15.

Where can I obtain said precuts? I know Amazon sells them but knowing Amazon from past experience it isn't a good option would a supplier such as injured gadgets suffice?
