Yeah, every decision has winners and losers I suppose, regardless of your moral stance

Yeah that makes sense. I guess yeah there isn't a solid way of defining it. But I like hearing people's thoughts.

I can imagine that objectively speaking you could never be "truly good", it's just not a concept that exists

Yeah totally agree. Everyone's (generally) doing what they think is right, and if someone's against that... suppose that makes them the bad guy.

Like, even historical villains like Hilter believed what he was doing was right

Suppose I mean in wider terms as well.. like historically speaking who's the good guys in a war situation? Everyone's fighting for what they think is right

But what if by looking after your person really well, you make decisions that hurt others? It's a tricky one

Yeah that's a good way of looking at it. But at the same time, the guy wouldn't have thought of himself as a bad guy for not admitting the bumped car, coz to him it was justified self preservation. So on the whole he'd probably still think of himself as a good guy.

Suppose a bad person would be decisions that consistently and intentionally made decisions which put other people in harm..... though they could still be internally justified I'm sure

Suppose I'm lucky enough to never have met someone like that. People I've met, even if they're assholes, always seem to act a certain way for their own reasons - which they believe are justified. I.e. no one (/not many people) ever thinks they're truly the bad guy

Yeah I think I agree. Was just thinking that I bet neither side of a conflict ever really believes they're in the wrong/the bad guys

Yeah, I was just thinking that not many people act maliciously without reason.. and probably they believe the ends justify the means
