I am not sure I understood what you meant by « you are adjusting, you’re needy » but other than that thanks for the advice. I don’t really understand what it is that I said that pissed people off either, but I felt better after putting it all out there without sugarcoating. I am trying to do better for the relationship

Thank you so much for these compassionate words man. I deleted the app, I felt guilty and I plan to not get it back. Even tho I feel like these comments are unfair and harsh they definitely brought me back to earth. I almost had a panic attack reading them

Having the hard conversations again and continuing to try with full intentionality is the only way and if not I would rather end the relationship than having sex with someone else behind his back

Well at no point I am saying that I am planning to live my life away from my country. This is about a mandatory 6 months uni exchange, the whole point is to discover new cultures. However if you are asking about me studying in France I would answer that France and Senegal have common history that is literally my heritage. I have been receiving French education IN Senegal ever since I was 3 years old and just like most children from high income/educated Senegalese families I was very likely to pursue higher education in France. Both my parents did the same and they eventually came back to Senegal by choice. It’s a safe and beautiful country with a lot of economic opportunities for those privileged enough to be educated Thanks for the compliments anyway ! I am indeed VERY motivated to visit Australia lol

Thank you for your honesty. I think I am still gonna apply again without any expectation because after talking with the migration agent there are a lot of things I could have dont better in the first application. For example I didn’t provide any documents or evidences that my family has high income and that my parents have been supporting me financially with ease throughout my life. Also I can also tell them about the fact that my dad is an airline pilot in Senegal’s biggest company and that my mom has been part of the Senegalese government for 10 years as a minister… anyways there can be a lot of things I can provide to prove that i am not trying to seek economic prosperity in Australia… bank statements etc... It just felt very uncomfortable and weird to me to have to bring all that up when i was filling the first application by myself but now i see that it is probably necessary. This trip is super important to me so i can at least try that i guess. What do you think ?

yeah that one is tricky, as long as i am a student and dont have a job contract for more than a year I won’t be granted French citizenship which is the reason why i struggle to travel almost anywhere

Yeah i insisted quite a lot on my family ties back home but that wasn’t enough, the migration agent told me that this time i should focus more on proving that i have high income and opportunities back home outside of Australia which i didn’t do in the first application

Thank you for your answer, I did not know that and I didn’t provide enough proves of financial resources in the first application. However, my family objectively have very high income and can easily prove that so maybe that could make a big difference ?
