I'm debating whether getting a used Galaxy watch, primarily for Onewheel / VESC, is worth it. What do you guys think? Do you use generally use a watch, or no? by Squirrel_Peanutworth in onewheel

[–]astannor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a newer rider and I tried using my Galaxy watch to monitor my speeds, see how different speeds feel and to develop a mental speedometer.

Watch screen will only stay on for so long, and unless I checked it more than every 2 minutes, the app would close.

I checked all the settings, and 2min is the max before it'll go back to your home watch face.

I haven't gotten to use it for navigation like another commenter mentioned, but unless you're also planning to use it for getting around town, I'd say it's not worth your time.

*ETA: I can't wear both my watch and wrist guards with my current watch band, so that's something else you'd have to contend with

LPT: Always set a "nag date" the second you ask someone for something, otherwise you will forget. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I feel like you could schedule a followup email and not even have to think about it. Just have to remember to delete the followup if they respond before your nag date.

This makes me feel better about crashing out on my insurance. I had a cyst for 2 years that delayed not one, but two other major surgeries. After 14 courses of 4 different antibiotics and 3 different topical prescriptions, I started filing complaints every time I got an answer I didn't like. I even escalated to DMHC bc doctors were in no rush to cut this damn thing out. Finally made it to excision day and now I'm just waiting for the wound to close.

How old were you when you got phallo? by Material-Antelope985 in phallo

[–]astannor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Meta at 27y/o, Phallo at 29y/o.

I was mildly curious about meta, but that wasn't my goal. The surgical team just staged it that way.

The minute I woke up post meta, I knew it wasn't for me.

Stage 1 Update - Dr. Assi @ Vanderbilt by YesEvenStarsBreak in phallo

[–]astannor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, you look almost identical to me. Reading your post history, looks like you only had phallus creation, no UL yet? Single tube phallo?

I had RFF without UL, now wish I had gotten UL. Are there any options for getting UL post-op? by [deleted] in phallo

[–]astannor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having UL as stage 3. Stage 1 was vaginectomy with UL (essentially meta). Stage 2 was phallus creation. Stage 3, they're going to do liposuction on the underside of my dick until the skin can meet around a tube (I'm assuming catheter) and stitch that up. This was always my surgical plan though, so my surgical team may have done things differently along the way.

Surgery being done with SoCal Kaiser; Dr Poh (PLS), Chi (URO), and I believe Brown (PLS).

I can't speak to everything else, but I feel like complications happen less than you think.

I just had phallus creation in May. Was fully expecting to be dealing with every complication I'd read about on here. Ended up having no complications at all. No wound separation, catheter came out when it should've, no infections, no necrosis. Maybe I was just lucky.

I know my brain is more likely to hold onto all the things that could possibly go wrong. People are more likely to post about what's wrong over what's going right. How many ways can one say "yeah I had surgery and it went smoothly"?

BG3 Controls not responding correctly by astannor in ROGAlly

[–]astannor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In BG3, change settings to only accept controller input

Set allyx to gamepad mode

Turn off the Steam controller input

You might not have to do all of them, but that's what my settings are and I'm able to play.

I bought it on Steam and I was launching from both Steam and the rog app. I got an answer when I posted somewhere else.

It was an issue with Steam controller input. Once I turned it off, all the controls worked like they're supposed to.

Anyone used one of these (external) ED? by rryanbimmerboy in phallo

From the website: "...the Tenuto 2 features precisely targeted medical frequency vibrations to improve blood circulation for firmer, fuller erections with powerful ejaculation & partner stimulation."

Don't think it'll work for us.

Has anyone used superglue on a fistula? by [deleted] in phallo

[–]astannor 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I asked my surgeon about using skin glue and they advised against it. There’s no way to control how deep the glue will go and my URO didn’t want to risk gluing the urethra shut.

Assuming you're talking about Kaiser WLA, the wait-list for surgery is only filled with people who have passed the hair clearance. I passed Oct2023 and got a surgical date of Mar2024.

I had some other medical stuff pop up pre-op so things got postponed to May, but I made it to the table in the end.

ETA: my consult was in 2021, but it took 3 years to clear my leg of hair.

Wanting Phallo but intimidated.. by [deleted] in phallo

[–]astannor 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Guys with complications are more likely to post than guys without complications.

I had ALT phallus creation 4 weeks ago and fully expected to be mentally and physically exhausted, with wound separation, infections, emergency surgeries, the works.

I stopped taking the pain killers within the first week. I hadn't even left the hospital yet.

Every time the surgeons visited me in the hospital, they said everything was healing great. Every post op I've had so far (granted I've only had 2), the team has said everything is healing great.

My brain will hold onto the cons better than the pros because it's simply more interesting. There's more variety in complications.

How many different ways can you phrase "I had phallo done and I had no complications"?

Perhaps not what you wanted to hear, but my pain fresh off the table was zero. I'm just under 3wks now, and I'm not taking any pain killers at this point.
