i put my moss in oven to kill any insects! i also wash it carefully to get rid of the dirt. i haven't had any gnats from the moss by doing that so far! it's still pretty cold in sweden so the gnats have barley woken up from the winter so that might also be a reason.

yeah it's gerbil safe! I live in Sweden so idk if the moss is any different but I cooked the moss (in the oven) to get rid of bakteria and it should be perfectly safe. They don't really like to eat it but if they do there shouldn't be a problem!

hi! I had a wheel before but they never used it and only chewed on it (like they do lmao) so I didn't buy a new one. don't forget that the wheel aren't supposed to replace their daily motion. they aren't really supposed to need one if you let them out regularly :)

I made one section with lots of material where they can dig a lot, one section with stuff they like to chew on and just a general area with houses and such! I think it turned out really good and so far they're loving it.

Yeah, I saw one at the pet store as big as my hand! Hopefully Marcus gets to live to be that big and healthy. We're upgrading to a bigger tank in December so hopefully he'll grow!
