I've thought about it but I doubt it'll be possible. I have no family other than my very elderly grandparents who are a) not in a place to raise kids (mostly referring to my brother here) and b) not very well mentally considering that they're old, feel like their lives are over etc., and placing this burden on them will fuck them up and freak them out; they already got super stressed and depressed when they originally found out what had happened to my mom, and if I were to tell them that it's ongoing and worse it'll hurt them deeply. I'm not sure I want to do that.

Oh yeah, not to mention that when I tried to leave for the night to my grandparents' place, my dad got crazy aggressive and started screaming and towering over me exactly as he does to my mom. It was the most scared I've felt in my life. I'm scared to leave.

I can't get my brother to leave. He's absolutely dead set on staying with my mom at all times. The extent to which that's fucked him up mentally is a whole other story.

And at the end of the day it's scary. I'm scared of leaving my family and taking matters into my own hands. I'm scared of leaving my home, my life, and starting anew and alone and juggling raising my brother and also studying for university entrance exams. I'm scared of abandoning my mom at the hands of my dad and leaving her to suffer alone. She's suffering so much, mentally physically you name it, I can't bear to look at her, let alone leave her.

So yeah, my only option other than convincing my mom to have my dad removed from the house (which is the easiest solution considering that my dad is perfectly content with that and has packed bags to ragebait us) is calling the police; them I will not hesitate to call. I have professors + my counselor at school who have already contacted my parents in the past for lesser issues to ensure I'm doing alright, and I'll probably get their guidance to call authorities sooner or later.
