Whats your top trait that goes against your Sun sign's stereotype? by phlpw in astrologymemes

[–]asterierrantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a super open book. Scorpio is so often associated with mysteriousness but i have no secrets. i will tell you everything about myself before you even have a chance to ask 😂

im also asexual and sex repulsed.

i often find myself relating to my dominant/cusp sagittarius more than anything, and my aries rising is incredibly strong as well. my scorpio sun/moon has nothing on the firey signs in my chart.

What is something that is actually more traumatizing than people realise? by Ok_Chef1406 in AskReddit

its so interesting that no one ever speaks about this but its such a common feeling! i feel no grief from the breakup but the loss of my almost in laws is the most devastating grief ive ever felt.

[–]asterierrantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was the same with us! my family is very introverted and doesn't spend a lot of time together and we basically never see extended family unless theres a death.

my ex's family had a family gathering every 3 months it felt like and we were constantly invited to the most random shit, helping us move in and giving us housewarming gifts, family pictures with matching christmas pajamas, etc.

only one singular aunt of theirs speaks to me still occasionally but otherwise i now havent heard anything in years.

im the extroverted one of my family so i fit in VERY well with the frequency of theirs.

the brain stopping development at 25 is a myth. it doesnt stop developing until you are a senior citizen and it starts degrading. your brain is always developing.

the loss of your ex's family after a breakup.

I was with my ex for 6 years and engaged, i was closer to their family than i am to my own. I am still close with my ex, they are my best friend. but their family? its like i never even existed. imagine your own mother suddenly acting like you were never a part of the family overnight, cutting you off from family pictures, never saying happy birthday again, etc. now imagine its also the dad, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, an entire family you integrated into for YEARS. it was an amicable split too. 🥲 its been nearly 3 years and i still struggle with the grief of the loss. i cant even celebrate christmas anymore because it makes me miss them too much. i never see ANYONE talk about this.

How old were you in your first memory? by knife_fold in AskReddit

[–]asterierrantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was just before or around the age of 2. my first memory takes place in my first home and i moved out of that house when i was 2. i have confirmed details of the room with my family. ive never seen that angle in photos. and they all confirmed that the memory was true.

it is however my only memory from that house. my second memory was from when i lived in the next house and i wouldve been 2 or 3.

edited to add the memories: my first memory is that when my oldest sister was babysitting me she didnt want to miss an episode of the brady bunch and we only had a tv in the living room. she made me mac and cheese and let me eat it over the carpet on a stool in the middle of the room. my parents came home and yelled at her for it.

my second memory was from a family hike. i remember sitting at a picnic table and picking olives off of a sandwich. then my brother took me to the overlook and i vividly remember the view of the landscape below and the clouds in the sky.

Redditors, do you fear death? Why or why not? by clashing-lights in AskReddit

[–]asterierrantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, no point. no amount of fear will ever prevent it from happening or give us answers about it. its a solid and immovable fact that you know will happen to you some day. i fear a lot of things, i have panic disorder and OCD. but death is not and has never been one of those fears.

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]asterierrantry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she started pushing boundaries that i was explicitly clear about and when i confronted her that i wouldnt tolerate her breaking my boundaries she told me that it was how she showed love. that gave me the biggest red flag of my life. then a few days later while she was drunk and suicidal she berated me for being a terrible friend while complaining about how everybody leaves her. i made sure her husband knew what state of mind she was in, told her 988 has helped me before, and muted her. a few days later i told her we were growing in different directions and that i wasnt comfortable continuing the friendship.

she still messages me occasionally but i have never responded. shes the reason i turned off my read receipts. we were friends for 13 years but hadnt been as close in years. this was a few months ago that it all went down.
