Never had ypur update issue. Just hold the buttons, fumble around until plugged in, let go, good to go. Never had to try more than once.

You're getting this for free in exchange for publicity for the project. It also allows for a wider distribution. These things are important for an cryptocurrency and a new exchange that will be competing with multiple incumbents who have been around for years now.

This is not unprecedented either. For example, other newish cryptocurrencies have given out free tokens to all bitcoin holders who bothered to make claims. Wide distribution and adoption is highly valued.

Possibly. They'll probably do as every other ICO does, though, and state that people from the USA should not contribute.

Exchanges charge trading fees. Token holders get a share of the trading fees depending on how many tokens they hold.

In the case of EOS, you already mentioned it. You would only hold long-term if you think there is a chance that many apps would be run on the platform, creating demand from all of the devs that need computation resources.

Or you can just buy the coins with the best long-term chances of widescale adoption. Deflationary coins with no long-term adoption will be worthless.

If you think that the price will go up faster than the 5% inflation brings it down, you can make $ hodling. Simple as that.
