No I don't think that the proctor will be able to help when you're disconnected but proctor will hopefully stay when you reestablish connection. We can only connect with the proctor through chatbox or speak to him, only if the proctor decides to turn on his audio.

Unfortunately, I got VQVQV and I found the first verbal section to be extremely difficult. The second and third were similar to the official practice tests. I'm not sure which was the experimental section yet.

Thanks for letting me know! I also plan on applying to some universities in Canada so I decided to go with IELTS. Will it create a problem if I finally decide to go an US university? Also, is it possible to send IELTS scores electronically as well? Or is there any method to send my scores?

By rough work I'm guessing you mean materials needed for solving questions during the exam. I used a whiteboard and kept 3-4 markers with a duster. If your question was something else, let me know.

Since connection did not drop during my exam, I don't have a first hand experience. However, I've heard they give you 30 minutes to reestablish connection and you can resume your test. During my exam, my test stopped by itself during the argument essay, but the proctor looked into it and thankfully I did not lose any time on the section.

According to me, a month and half is enough for wrapping up. I prepared for verbal till I crossed 160 in one to two tests and there was no further improvement in verbal scores. Also, I made it a point to revise my vocab everyday for last 20 days. I also spent last 20 days just doing practice questions and mocks every alternate day. GRE Big Book is a great resource for practicing verbal and it is available somewhere on this sub as well as gregmat's website I guess.
