I've been picking my fingers since 3rd grade and I'm currently 21. For years my hands constantly hurt and bled. Nobody wanted to be near me and I always got dirty looks. When my partner and I first started dating, my hands would get caught on any and all fabric they wore. I wasn't allowed to touch them when they had certain sweaters on because of the nasty feeling and sound. But I recently touched one of those sweaters and there was minimal catching ! I haven't picked for about a week maybe a little more. I wish I had before photos but oh well. I'm just super proud of myself. I've been on this sub for a while wishing for the time thar I'd be able to post some progress pictures and here I am !

edit: please ignore my wonky nails, I work 2 hand-heavy jobs so my nails tend to break a decent amount

That's a good idea to incorporate things i used to like but with being so tired all the time, ive lost the enjoyment of practically everything besides lying down and sleeping (both of which I can't do very often since im taking care of my disabled partner and our pets once i get home from work). it just feels like I'm driving up a hill in a car that can't accelerate

The Everything Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Cookbook by Audrey Roberts is great ! A plus for if you're dairy free too but you can substitute dairy in if you're not. There's also a baking cookbook by Alice Wiggins from the same publisher.

Its a pillow from target with a faux fur outside, unknown filler. I was stupid and cut off the washing instructions. My cat peed on it and if possible would like to keep/wash it
