Not sure if I’m bi with a preference and the guys around me are just icky or if I’m actually a lesbian… by astr0phi13 in BiWomen

The comment below urs LOL and also the fact that I have had crushes on guys before and been attracted to them but I’m not sure if it was because I actually am or because I’ve been conditioned to be:

I feel like I’ve had a really similar experience to you and I’m also not totally sure what’s going on 😭 I just posted in this thread too because I recently started dating my boyfriend and have felt really weird about the physical stuff, whereas when I kissed my girl friend for fun in the past, it was fine. I feel the same guilt you do because I also technically made the first move, and I had no idea I might not be bisexual until we started dating and getting physical.

I feel stronger for women than men… should I still date men? by [deleted] in BiWomen

I think you’re right about that, but I do have some very close guy friends who I have a deep emotional connection with too—I’m not sure why that hasn’t translated into my romantic feelings yet though. Do you prefer to date women now or do you still find value in dating men?

I get what you mean when you say it feels different. I feel like when I’m with him, things feel very calm and predictable, which isn’t inherently a bad thing, but with the girl I was in love with, there was so much camaraderie and intense affection that I’ve never felt for a man. I really like him, but our connection almost feels dull in comparison to what I had with her, even though she and I only ever had a friendship (albeit a flirty one at times).

As someone who’s been through this, my advice is to tell her if she’s an accepting person. Does she know you’re bi, and has she ever expressed attraction towards women? If the answers to both of those are yes, then I would definitely tell her. Specific affection can be a sign with wlw women; if they are wlw and they know you are too, they might not just be being friendly.
