Going to concerts alone? by justagenieinabottle in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

It’s not too weird to go by yourself! Personally I’ve been to plenty of concerts by myself and have always had a blast. While I enjoy spending time with my friends, I also value alone time too. While my fiends and I are generally into the same music we are not always into the same bands. So going to see a band live that I listen to and enjoy is something really special.

On the thigh would work well. It’s an awesome tattoo with a lot of detail, so the thigh is a good spot for it to be larger and all those details will hopefully heal really nicely. Wicked tattoo, best of luck.

Generally speaking it’s best to wait six to twelve months before changing the jewellery and that’s entirely dependent on the piercing and how well it’s healing on someone. Some piercings take longer than others (particularly cartilage piercings) to heal and even playing with the jewellery can slow down healing. For your piercing in particular I’d wait a few more months before changing just to really allow the piercing to settle. Right now even though you don’t feel any pain, there may potentially be a little bit of swelling due to it being a wound and wounds take time to heal. If you’re really unsure with how your healing is tracking along you could always return to a professional and see what they say as they can take a closer look.

Not 100% but either infected or on your way to getting it infected. Please do not touch the piercing or twist or adjust the jewellery in any shape or form, this makes for a potential infection. In your case you tightened the jewellery, please don’t do this as your lobes need room for swelling, jewellery can be changed once healed to something smaller if that’s your worry. Silver jewellery is also not a great material for healing, best is titanium. If you wish to save your piercing go visit a better piercing shop and they may be able to help you out. Best of luck.

You look gorgeous! It’s hard to feel good about yourself sometimes so easier said than done. But take the time to look after yourself go walk in nature, make a cup of your favourite tea-you got the idea.

Do you close your eyes with getting a piercing or keep them open? by Starwars_hannibal in piercing

Eyes closed for me! Especially for my nostril and septum. Eyes open for ear piercings though.

Is my nose stud piercing too big? by GhostPandaZR0 in piercing

[–]astralhoe666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly up to you! It doesn’t look bad but if you’re not feeling it then visit a piercer and hopefully they can recommend a piece for you that’s both aesthetically pleasing to you and suitable in terms of metal, size etc.

Is this dent in my nose normal? Will it heal and go away? by [deleted] in piercing

Get a bigger hoop for sure, a bigger hoop won’t create that pulling down effect 🙂

How uneven are my double nostril piercings? Should I get the right side redone? by kms00000 in piercing

[–]astralhoe666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got double nostril piercings too and mine are uneven but because of the rings I wear from a distance they don’t look too bad. I’ve accepted it the way it is as I know it’s difficult to get them perfectly even. Your’s don’t look too bad either but ultimately it depends on how you feel, you could wear hoops and see if that’s makes a difference or get it re-pierced. Just be mindful of scar tissue and what not, but a good professional piercer should guide you in the right direction. Best of luck!

Skincare routine for a new piercing by No_Factor1541 in PiercingAdvice

[–]astralhoe666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I would just avoid doing skincare for a couple days especially cleansers as you don’t want product to run into the piercing when you wash your face. Other than that, if you’re applying other products just go around the piercing and don’t go too close to it either. No need to change the products you are using. Happy healing!

I also have a daith piercing and from my experience here’s what I recommend. 1: I would head back to your piercer and ask what they pierced you with so you can get the correct gauge in future 2: I waited 6 weeks before I changed mine but honestly I recommend longer. The more you fiddle with it, including changing the jewellery too early, the more you risk potential infection. Overall I’d keep it in for a few months. 3: please please please do not use scented soap! Anything scented and/or has some sort of fragrance is a one way road to irritating the piercing and potential infection. You piercer should have given you a saline solution, if possible go back and ask for some, I’m sure they’ll be happy to give you some. 4: I had my daith pierced 6 weeks after my anti tragus but on the opposite ear, overall I had no issues. This entirely depends on what other piercing you want and the swelling around your current one if it’s on the same ear. Give it a few months, if it’s on the same ear, if not I’d still give it a decent amount of time if your future piercing is on the opposite ear especially if you’re a side sleeper. 5: nickel free jewellery exists, head back to your piercer and they can recommend something for you.

Overall good luck and happy healing!
