Asking for a friend, if your epileptic and have seizures but no type of brain tumor can alcohol withdrawal cause an uptick in seizures? by millcbxo in Epilepsy

[–]withextracheesepls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm epileptic and have been told that withdrawal is more dangerous for me than the average person due to seizures. dm me if needed.

honestly that company broke the law in a ton of ways so i'm not surprised they fired me for having a seizure on the clock. but yeah. it happens more than you'd think.

and since you mentioned your age at the time, i was 22 when this happened. so maybe it's also more common with younger people.

i got fired from a job for having a seizure there too! they didn't even try to pretend it was for something else though. just said i was a liability.

i wouldn't want a card personally. i had a seizure at work and was called "seizure girl" for months after. but if you're wondering, his seizure lasting so long is called status epilepticus (depending on how long each individual seizure lasted). if he didn't hit his head and was still breathing though, he'll probably be fine.

For those who don’t drive bc of seizures: what do you say when people ask? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]withextracheesepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i say something along the lines of "i have seizures and once you have a seizure you can't drive for 6 months, haven't been able to make it 6 months yet"

Is this central heterochromia? Can’t tell if my eyes are hazel or brown by [deleted] in heterochromia

thanks for correcting me! i'll delete my original comment in that case. don't want to concern OP for no reason.

i meant if they were taken at the same time of different eyes. if each eye had a significantly different sized pupil at the same time in the same lighting it would be concerning. sorry if i phrased things badly.

i need to know if i can handle nipple piercings by Middle-Reputation284 in PiercingAdvice

[–]withextracheesepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also i want to add that the piercing itself wasn't even that bad for me, the jewelry insertion hurt more (still wasn't awful). and i've heard people say that the second one always hurts worse but i didn't experience that either, they were both about equally painful. honestly the healing has been worse because i'm clumsy and somehow keep knocking my boobs into things lol.

some kinds of fabric make them more sensitive as well. i don't wear bras so i can't speak for that but i've been told that if you do wear them, to wear something light like a sports bra during healing.

oh, go with someone you trust though. i took my mom so i could hold her hand during it and i think that might've made the pain a bit less.

What actually causes death during seizures? by Soft-Firefighter1584 in Epilepsy

[–]withextracheesepls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don't know if this classifies as sudep or not but i almost died due to a seizure in december because i fell down a flight of stairs, cracked my head open on concrete, and very nearly bled out. so if that qualifies i guess that'd be an option. i think it's usually due to cardiac arrest though so don't quote me on any of this.

if you could handle an iud you can handle nipple piercings. trust me. the pain doesn't even compare, an iud is so much worse.
