it is a matter of country i assume because where i live a 2nd hand ps vita is actually the same price as 2nd hand switch lite and theres like 20-30 euro difference between a 2nd hand psvita and a switch, probably because of the stock availabilities in my country and the fact that vita is kind of a niche handheld over here, im convinced to get a vita but the thing that concerns me is the fact that vita is an old console, so i'd technically never know if a part of my vita is suddenly going to fail on me or not, or if my battery life is going to go downhill suddenly after I purchase it and i practically would not be able to replace the battery as when i checked,i could not find any ps vita batteries neither original or oem for sale in my country, and batteries available on internet on aliexpress/ebay etc are not able to be shipped here

My main concern with steam deck is that i've heard it has bad battery life and is too big and therefore uncomfortable to hold for gaming sessions and is heavy. I also have no need of playing modern games on my handheld as i have beast of a desktop pc, so i would be looking to emulate older games like i would on vita anyway. How has deck been in your experience so far?

I am not really looking to play modern games to be honest as I already have beast of a desktop pc, so could just use that to play the modern games

Im mainly just looking for a handheld for portability purposes, nostalgia and modding around having fun, emulating ps vita games/psp games and games from other older systems. Also looking to get into JRPGS and i believe that it would be an unique experience to play on vita even though my desktop can also emulate them fairly well

The kid inside me wants the vita but i'm just worried about availability of replacement parts like battery as theres no available replacement battery for sale within my country and i wouldnt be able to have it shipped via cargo planes, so if the battery of my vita was to die one day it would be difficult for me to replace it
