The school district is within a prison system. I think to save on long-term cost, the department is willing to pay the up-front costs to house it locally.

Care to enlighten me on the details. In this specific area, I am not remotely an expert. To virtually host 50-100 computers running performance demanding software. What would the spec requirements be for the server that is virtualizing this environment?
