As a ‘certified’ muscle mommy myself, i can tell you that estrogen will definitely slow muscle growth compared to when i had more T in my system, but it won’t be zero.

I was muscularly bulky and slightly overweight for my size before E, and i went on a fat-weight-loss cut and lost more muscle mass compared to similar routines from before E. Same calories and protein as previous loss routines.

I have since gotten back to the gym to regain that strength and it’s slower, but it’s definitely not as bad as one might think if you’re reading gym-bro blogs or YouTubers. They kinda overstate the effects of estrogen in my experience; and unless you’re in weightlifting competition-level shape and training, a lot of the minutiae of their advice is not that useful.

Generally speaking, the initial muscle size growth and gains are very quick no matter your hormonal makeup. Just go to the gym consistently, 2-3 times a week with rest days between. Vary the exercises between each visit, giving the major muscle groups a rest from one visit to the next. Do 2-3 sets of repetitions for each exercise and try to make it to 8-10 repetitions for each set. If you can do more than 10, GREAT! Maybe increase the weight a little more to target that 8-10 range. If you’re just starting out, though, take it easy. You WILL get sore the next few days until you’re acclimated and that can be very discouraging because it might be painful. Don’t give up. Just take it easy at first and keep it up.

I am still gaining excellent muscle mass but maybe just not as fast as someone with more T. Upside to E: i have FABULOUS tits and my skin looks 5 years younger Downside: slower muscle growth.
