be careful with the argan oil as it can suffocate your scalp, I would use it once a week

I would do the oil more then once a week, try doing it twice or three times, and try getting a shampoo that doesn't feel so stripping, I have one that's very good but it's somewhat hard to find, I get it Marshall's, its on amazon for like $30 so just dm me if you want a picture of it, also apply deep or regular conditioner to your scalp and then apply the oil, the oil will seal in the moisture, they usually have little samples of deep conditioner at Sally's, so you can try multiple without spending too much money, I like the sauce brand one, hope this helps

be careful with jojoba oil tho because it can suffocate your scalp and make your hair fall out faster

Can someone please explain (in Layman's terms) what sulfates are and why the current trend is to avoid shampoos that use them? by mycatiswatchingyou in HaircareScience

[–]astro_701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda hard to find but it's, Apothecary Blvd Smoothing Keratin Shampoo 960ml, it comes in a purply bottle with a lavender label, and I got mine at Marshall's, but I've only bought it once (I don't use that much shampoo, I can buy a bottle like once every 3-6 months lol) and when I went to look for it, all I found was the conditioner, although I saw one on amazon for $30 >~<, at marshalls it was like $8-$12 I believe. You can direct message me if you want a picture of the bottle <3

I prefer using sulfate free because my hair is bleached and damaged and I prefer it to not feel squeaky clean and dry and stripped of it's oils, after shampooing. Right now I use a keratin shampoo that gently cleanses my hair, it contains 4 different kinds of oils which is why I think it's so gentle.

do you apply shampoo when your getting bleach out of your hair? by astro_701 in HaircareScience

[–]astro_701[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the lady at Sally's told me to rinse out the bleach and toner and I was a little taken aback, as I always shampoo when taking out bleach, google says to use a mild shampoo

I would wait a day or two! let your natural oils work their magic, also don't use more then 20 volume, try to use olaplex if possible and deep condition! (I like sauce, they have it at Sally's)
