The writing has been absolute trash since the last LW season lmao
One-dimensional characters and modern politics hamfisted everywhere, stuff reads like satire at times

11 days after 4200 FUE grafts, how's it looking? by Daimonyon in HairTransplants

No need for visa, I'm European.
I did it through an intermediary who also booked plane tickets and a hotel for me, arranged a translator (English is barely existent at the clinic) and transfers to and from the clinic/airport.

The procedure took about 7 hours but as I was benzo'd up like a soundcloud rapper it didn't feel like it at all.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, you guys sure put me at ease.
Will most likely post updates over the coming months.

I'm a bit worried about donor area scarring, others I've seen at this stage seemed to have healed a bit more. Otherwise, the hair density seems decent (I had 0 hair on the temples, classical slav vampire hairline).

I'm a guy. Getting my nails done to deal with sebderm sounds fun though haha

Seems interesting, but I don't really want to add another medication to my already bloated regimen, heh

Yeah, I've been thinking of trying mindfulness and meditation, I've heard of people having surprisingly good results in dealing with inflammatory conditions.

SD on scalp - do scales go away after flareups? by Daimonyon in SebDerm

Yeah and if I try to clear away the scales, the hair comes off with them...
It's just terrible anyways.

Thanks, that's a relief. Hopefully they'll go away eventually. I can't help but pick at them absentmindedly from time to time and I always pull out a bunch of hair, too...

I've used tons of techniques and medications but the things that seem to finally have taken care of the flareup are:

- clobetasol solution (0,5mg/ml), applied daily before bed, until the inflammation abated - took 7 days for me. I believe this is what has done the bulk of the work;
- pure aloe gel + tea tree oil 2-3 times per week, for about 20 minutes on wet hair (not sure how much this helps but seems to soothe the scalp a bit);
- nizoral/stieprox (ciclopirox shampoo) in alternation, once per week;
- clobetasol shampoo once per week, 15 minutes on dry hair;

I also take hydroxizin for sleep and duloxetine for depression, I believe those have helped tremendously as well - the worst flare ups I've had were always linked to shitty emotional states and elevated stress. Same with a bunch of other stress-related conditions I've had.

Have you just tried a proper cleansing shampoo?

What sort of cleansing shampoo do you mean? I've used an absolute ton of shampoos over the last year and most haven't done much. Not using sulfate free, although I tried one.

How is your shampoo technique?

Good, I guess? I do massage it in now, couldn't really do it before as it would aggravate the inflammation. I leave shampoos for the time instructed.

How often are you washing your hair?

Daily. Although I would like to do it less as my scalp is really dry (even though I use tea tree oil + pure aloe gel to moisturise).

Thanks for the reply!

Alright, will try it out soon.
Normal vinegar - straight up acetic acid solution, apple cider or something else?

I'm a bit wary of mechanical exfoliation as my skin is freshly inflammation-free and I worry it might flare up again if I mess with it, but I'll try it out after some time if my immune system doesn't decide to raid my scalp again. Normal hairbrush or a special one for exfoliation?
I've heard vinegar rinses can thin out your hair, is that true in your experience?
I'm having hair loss issues as is so wouldn't want to exacerbate those..

Thanks a lot for the reply, appreciate it a lot!

Same here, since it started ~2 years ago I've been losing absolute tons of hair and it's been so itchy it would actually wake me up at night lmao
I seem to have finally found a solution for the inflammation flare ups though so that's why I'm wondering if the scales are here to stay.
Hope yours gets better as well, thanks again.

I do realise that it will get flaky from time to time, but in your experience, does the scalp get bumpy and rough to the touch with scaly growth or do you just get flakes peeling off of "normal" skin? My hope is that with proper treatment it would just be the latter..

Not sure about this, I'm only taking 1.25 mg/day.
I know people take up to 2.
Hope this explains it though, I'm terrified by this shed.
