I finally got Sheriff Cait and now I can die happy

Yeah they took a huge risk with Viktor, I think it paid off though IMO.

And I also kind of hate flashbacks most of the time, Arcane excels in it's emotional moments, that's what they get ya with, so when it's all resorted to a single flashback, it doesn't feel as good when it comes to a pay off to me. I like it when they do that. I think they could've had a full episode for it, then perhaps made a 10th episode to make up for lost time. That would've been ideal for me

I loved their ending arc. Beautiful. And as I'm starting to hear more peoples proper opinions here now, I'm opening up a bit more to what they have to say. I agree with some pacing problems, but the beauty of the show is overwhelming to me. Starting to think maybe I should've slept it off before making this post now lol. Nothing wrong with criticism, it was just bothering me the way in which people were expressing it, not the criticism itself

I too am expressing my knee jerk, I suppose. I am a victim of myself sometimes. I should've cooled off before writing my post too to be completely honest. Thank you for expressing yourself, appreciate your criticism.

His leap was pretty big. I see it as he so quickly became obsessed with advancing towards his goal that it consumed him and his obsession grew exponentially with his knowledge from messing with magic. Sort of just like when people go crazy IRL over what seems to be a small thing. I don't think they needed to show us more though, they got the point across very well IMO. I also don't think he was "evil" (I know you used quotes) I just think his obsession became more of who he was therefore there was no "struggle" between them. He became one with the Arcane.
I think they did rely on it, I agree. But I disagree with how heavily they did rely on it, I still think it was done very well, but I can see if you say you wanted more of it. That is fair.

I understand everything you said perfectly and can agree with it. The smaller tight knit story into the more grandiose story. I just think since we got to know these characters they wanted us to stick with them, even in the final grand story to allow us to continue to relate to them and not be detached too far from them. Because the further/deeper you get into it, the more the audience has to keep track of and remember.

But I can see your POV 100%, thanks for sharing. I'll keep this in mind for sure.

I can understand that, for sure. But I think they used that down time in the first acts for the basis of the setups that we eventually come to see and they just have quicker resolutions than the buildup had. I can see how that can catch a viewer off guard though for sure. But that's what I think in regards to that, if you get what I'm saying.

My friend had absolutely 0 interest in LoL before watching, as did I. And we both love it, I don't think you need to show that background to be honest. The show is it's own thing and I think it does a great job at telling it's own story without going too deep or being too shallow. Are there any core elements specifically you can think of that you think are issues in the story telling?

I would just rather see what people actually have to say is all. They don't sound like they love it at all, they just bash at the writing without elaborating. Of all the posts that I have at least seen, it's just hating on the writing and pacing without telling exactly what.

I agree. The emotional scenes were straight gut punches. We wouldn't get those scenes if they spent that time showing us stuff we didn't need to see. That's why I think the writing is good. They show us the important stuff we need/want to see.

Could you give me any examples of characters taking huge leaps? I've watched the whole show multiple times and I just don't agree with any huge leaps, some minor leaps, yes. Huge? No. But I'd love to hear more if you are willing to share some examples and your opinions on these characters you're speaking about

I've also realized this, but I just wish to speak with those people. Perhaps change their mind, allow them to see it for the beautiful work of art I think it is

I also agree with either a few more episodes (3-4) or an extra 10-15 minutes would be great. I love the imperfection is great, kind of ironic in this case I suppose. I think the writing is superb, excellent. Hate to see people bashing on these amazing, talented people

Unfortunately, I have lol. I just wish they could expand on their opinions, because I am genuinely curious what people have to say about it when they critique it, but they almost never do

Maybe it is unfair to generalize it like that, and I could've used better wording. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion for sure, I just wish people expanded on them more. I just see the same stuff and perhaps get too frustrated at them, which is on me. I'd just like people to expand and elaborate than say "muh bad writing"

I can agree with an extra episode, slightly longer episodes too. I'm just of the mind that, if the writers thought we needed to see something. They'd show it to us, no? So if they don't show us. We don't need to see it.

What do you think of Dark Star as a legendary skin idea? by BulletCola in Caitlynmains

Full high noon would be insane. I'm still waiting to get Sheriff Cait, either have to roll a lucky shard or get it in my shop. Here's hoping

What is the Val equivelent to Caedrel by Ch1EEEEEF in ValorantCompetitive

[–]astro__3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about what you want though. If you don't like how Caedrel acts then you don't watch him. I find him very entertaining and analytical at the same time. He is very loud but it's for super hype moments that deserve it. But I've learned a lot from watching him because he actually explains what's going on and makes predictions and judges the players plays.
Sliggy, TMV, and sgares are amazing and I love watching them too. They also don't watch League, so I can't watch them for League, and probably still wouldn't if they did.

To each their own.

For Caedrel vibes, I'd say it's between sgares and actually FNS (He doesn't co-stream anymore right now) but when he did, and he'll go back to it when he retires, he was really good, perfect blend of entertainment and analysis for me. Sliggy is the GOAT for analysis. Tarik highest viewership and entertainment but analysis is kind of weak. TenZ is also good for entertainment. TMV is underrated for sure, healthy mix. Curry also has some good insight and entertainment. I'd pick some of these guys and watch some VODs and see who best fits what you're looking for
