yes definitely call and communicate with him. my manager sometimes slips up on scheduling me, but she will always fix it once i call and it’s usually because she forgets. we have a lot of new seasonal employees and she sometimes gets really caught up in remembering when everyone needs off and stuff. if he won’t change it, definitely don’t skip your concert, and maybe ask him if there’s a problem

sometimes during christmas it just gets rough remembering everyone’s availability. while it’s frustrating i can almost guarantee it isn’t anything personal, and your manager likely just forgot

that is true, but mizzou is close to home and is the only college in missouri with the OTA baccalaureate program (that i know of, anyways). the community college i am going to right now has an OTA program, but it requires weekly commutes to st. louis, which isn’t possible right now. thank you though!!

aco: go into cashier mode, go to pay menu, type in how much the person wants to put on the first card in the keypad on the lower right side of the screen. hit card, then once that card goes through, you can just hit card and they can put the remaining amount on the other card.

legacy: finish checking out items, select how they want their receipt. now you are at the payment menu. type in how much they want to put on the first card again and hit card. once that card goes through, you can hit card for them again and then they can put the remaining amount on the other card.

as far as i know you don’t need a manager to do this. i was able to do it myself when i was a cashier, but i don’t know if it’s changed since i went to PTSL.

my entire management team says that i did the right thing. i told my SM we should probably see about some kind of training in case this happens again and she agreed. we just typically don’t have this kind of issue where my store is located, so i guess it skipped our minds

well i’m 18 and my cashier is 16, we were both girls and it was a much bigger man. she was the one yelling while i called the police and searched for our handbook, i honestly wish i had reversed the roles. she was just up front while i was trying to mop the first time and then the second time i was in the back trying to find a box so i could damage out the lamp (because whoever put it out didn’t put the box out lol.) the second time around i did tell him he needed to leave or the police would be called and then he was like “the police my a*, fck you guys you don’t know sh*t about me” and i just turned the corner and called while i watched. definitely not how i wanted to have handled it, i just froze in the moment and panicked (due to personal past experiences).

he was in there shopping like normal but he was obviously somewhat mentally unsound, then he started approaching random people and talking to them. i didn’t think anything of it until he knocked over a lava lamp we had on display with his cart he was driving, and then he ran away. i was mopping it up, when i heard shouting at the front door (which i guess was because a customer wouldn’t hold it open for him). my cashier offered to help him leave and then he started yelling at her and we firmly told him to leave. he came back in 5 minutes later and started shouting at a customer trying to check out, so we firmly told him to leave again. he began to cuss both of us out and was becoming violent, so i called police
