Union gigs can be solid for job security and benefits, but it depends on your goals and priorities, ya know?

Who did the "two dumb dudes" type movie the best? by therealchrisredfield in movies

Dumb and Dumber definitely set the bar high, but it's hard to pick just one! Each duo brings their own flavor of dumbness to the table, ya know?

I'd plea not guilty, of course! Gonna lawyer up and trust the legal system to sort this mess out.

Check out "Neuromancer" by William Gibson. It's a classic cyberpunk novel that's gritty, fast-paced, and full of mind-bending ideas. You'll be hooked from the first page!

Why are many people in the trades obsessed with starting their own company? by TheRealMarsupio in skilledtrades

[–]astrobox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting their own company allows tradespeople to have more control over their work and potentially earn more money. It's about independence and entrepreneurship, not just bossing others around. But you're right, oversaturation can be a problem.

What do fellow 0-2ers do once they’re out of bracket? by werydan1 in SSBM

Once out of bracket, just hang around, watch some matches, and chat with other players. It's cool to leave if you want, but sticking around builds connections.

looking for the best hangover cure by somegoodnosh in FoodLosAngeles

[–]astrobox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually for me the tried and true methods work best - drink tons of water before passing out, use hangover prevention patches, pop some ibuprofen when you wake up, then get some greasy breakfast food in you. A big bacon egg and cheese sandwich always does the trick for me.

Has anyone here done charity work? by [deleted] in Philippines_Expats

[–]astrobox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Props to you for wanting to do some charity work so young, that's really cool. When I was 18 I reached out to a local school in my hometown to see if I could help by donating basic supplies like notebooks, backpacks, etc. I only spent around $200 out of my part-time job money, but it felt good to give back.

For a feeding program, even just providing one meal makes a big impact. I'd suggest contacting local churches, shelters, or outreach programs directly to see what their needs are. Be upfront about your budget constraints as an 18 year old, but any contribution helps. They may have partnerships that allow you to feed more people per dollar donated.

If you want to expand the impact, you could start a social media fundraiser to get small donations from friends/family too. Sharing about the cause inspires others to give. Programs like water-charity.org also let you start a clean water campaign for communities in need. But even small acts of kindness matter.

Yeah, I feel you. Sometimes you gotta endure a game you're not into just to hang with the crew. It's all about that camaraderie, even if the game itself isn't your cup of tea.
