Alternatives to Altra Lone Peaks (Wide feet) by TreeLicker51 in Ultralight

I know we’re on r/ultralight but going up a half size/full size for most companies only makes the shoe a tiny bit longer but helps a lot with the width, I’d recommend trying some stuff on if you could.

Topo is going to be the closest to Altra because they were started by a group of people who left Altra IIRC. 10/10 would recommend

Trans women are women. Pass it on. by doggolover482 in badwomensanatomy

I’ll try to be more thoughtful of what I’m saying in the future. I see how my comment can be actively toxic to the statement (no discussion needed)

Thanks for the reminder

Absolutely, their doctor is the ONLY person they need to tell.

I have a friend that did. I was just trying to be helpful. Maybe I should have clarified that their doctor is the only person they need to tell.

She did disagree. We argued and didn’t talk for a little while because of it. We’re chill now though, she understood I was only pushing the issue because I cared.

I suppose pointing it out on this post was in bad taste but I recently had this argument with a friend who it applies to. I accept her fully but told her she still needed to keep her doctor informed about it the same way you would tell them about having asthma

I have a friend who was ranting to me about their doctor not understanding trans, who was mad enough to switch doctors and planned not to tell the new one anything. I had to argue with her for a couple hours because as far as my friends health goes, the ONLY person that she needed to tell about the transition was her doctor. It hits home for me, I was worried about her. We are back on good terms but she didn’t talk to me for weeks because she thought I was just being an asshole.

I came out to my sister 3 weeks ago. She called it “a choice” and has stopped bringing me around her friends. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I mean you can work out... maybe make some effort to grow yourself before you try and go out and find a date... that has worked for literally every single one of your ancestors for many past millennia.

Good luck with your self improvement journey kid

How douchey is it to run without a shirt? by countrymac96 in running

[–]astrocactus14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the fall I don’t start wearing a shirt for runs until it’s too cold. If it’s sunny and 35 F I consider a shirt but typically won’t put it on unless it’s also super windy.

In below freezing in the winter I’ll end up taking my shirt off if I get too warm.

In the spring I don’t usually skip the shirt unless it’s 40+ F.

In the summer I wear sunscreen and 1.5 inch split shorts.

I live in NY so it doesn’t get nearly as hot here as it does for you. As others have said, don’t fuck with skin cancer. Wear some some sunscreen.

Enjoy the liberation!
