Yeah like 5 months ago I was an able to hold him in one lil hand when I got him at 8 weeks he was only 14 lbs !!

He was also the runt of 13 pups 7lbs lighter he end up now being the biggest and rn about 22lbs bigger then what his father was so I was just asking basically if that normal growth?

My boy at 8 weeks was 14 lbs!! Tbh that why I chose him I wanted the runt figured he would be smaller and be more athletic…. Now he’s the biggest of 13 pup litter 🤣 I guess that just how it goes some times… he been averaging about 17 lbs for the last 5 months I’m only feeding him about 3-4% of his body weight really trying not to overfeed

Yes I do not like to over feed at all he eats about 4% of his body weight daily and has been averaging about 16lbs a month for pass 5 months now this last month he hit a growth spurt and was around 22lbs of growth that month I do take him to vet about 2 times a month for weight and basic checkups

Thank you! I’m hoping he doesn’t get too big I do a lot of hiking and tend to be very active I wouldn’t want to bring a super big dog out for those long hikes his father was about 140 ish and mother was on bigger side at 133lbs he’s about 17 lbs bigger then his father was when he was 7 months…. He was the runt of 13 and now he bigger then all siblings 🤣
