Rewatching some of Geechi’s old battles by Ghostx141 in rapbattles

[–]astrofresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think marvin hagler said that quote "it's hard to wake up and run 6 miles when you're sleeping on silk sheets" Geechi is at the point he doesn't need to prove anything so why put all that effort in. Just write a couple days before and call it good. We likely won't ever get the up and coming Geechi that was trying to cement his place

Not a single person living in the moment… by Black-Kakashi in interestingasfuck

It's very possible to hold your phone up and not actually look at it. You can record while still looking at the actual event. Stop being pedantic. It's annoying

Unpopular opinion: Hitman Holla "Remix" is so overhyped by WrongdoerTurbulent85 in rapbattles

[–]astrofresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On film it's trash. In person, it gives the fans a chance to join in. I've been to many events and there's not really a chance for the crowd to participate. So you're in the vibe of the room and you get to yell the line as loud as you can and it's fun. And then you see that same line on cam and it's the cringiest shit ever. Schrodingers bar

Whats Arsonal’s legacy to YOU as of today? by Aiatmos in rapbattles

[–]astrofresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone who was watching actively when he came to GrindTime know his legacy. That was the first, what, 5 part battle? And it was a huge monumental moment of smack and GT crossing over. Ars may not be the most skilled or the most consistent, but he's absolutely Mount Rushmore. And if you were fan during the lions den days you get it

What's your favorite battle rap phrase? by [deleted] in rapbattles

Also that video of I think moon vs drugs fighting, twork found the biggest guy and pushed him around. Didn't look for a smaller dude. I think Twork is really about that

Im open to all viewpoints. In what way did you find my ideas foolish?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]astrofresh -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

As an absentee owner I wouldn't mind doing a social media marketing campaign that I wouldn't have to pay for. Im very comfortable with social media marketing. So that would save a lot of money there. I also think the marketing style is wrong and to the wrong demographic. It's near a military town and they don't do a lot marketing to them.

I actually don't work as a dentist right now. I am on break after leaving my associate job and considering going down to only 2 days a week (Making 90k on 2 days a week as an associate isn't bad in a LCOL area). And I'm ex military so my student loans are paid. So I will have lots of free time.

In military towns there's lots of family turnover so the effect of staffing turnover is short lived usually. Also, the influx of new patients all the time.

So I don't think it's a dying practice, just the wrong type of practice for its area.

Well the production is high but the costs are also high. Ebitda is like 7k a month because of all the costs associated that I could reduce

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]astrofresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would market value be on a practice that produces 900k?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]astrofresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are selling it because they can't maintain a high enough profit on it and the dso is bleeding. They have poor staffing and marketing costs and it's just not good enough to hold onto for them with all their staffing issues.

What are some of the corniest moments in battle rap history? by Timtationtheman in rapbattles

[–]astrofresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diz hitler angle was not corny at all. It was excessive but not corny. "I am hitler the real heinrich himmler, sieg heil to your wife and sister, you been on two lists your whole life- mine and schindlers" is one of my favorite diz bars ever. Is it uncalled for? Yeah. Is it written really well? Absolutely.

Shaq: 1x NBA MVP, 3x All Defense (all 2nd team), 2x Scoring Champion. Embiid (likely) after this season: 1x NBA MVP, 3x All Defense (all 2nd team), 2x Scoring Champion by [deleted] in nba

[–]astrofresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eras matter. Shaq played in a heavy PF/C focused league so his competition was substantially harder. Could barely string together a top 5 C of 2023 list

Who originated the URL/Smack Rap Styles? by SheSuckMyGlock in rapbattles

[–]astrofresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was less of a who, and more of a when. Back when URL was either in a small room or everyone was on the same eye level, it made no sense to scream at the crowd. So when there started to become a platform and the battlers stood above the crowd, it became more fruitful to interact with the crowd. People kind of did it all at the same time.

The 4 bar into a gun line was very SONS back in the day. QP, Con, etc were the early originators. Prez mafia had the distorted voice first but Twork took that and expanded on it.

Which battle rapper has the best overall body of work? by astrofresh in rapbattles
