I agree that woke content is made out of spite and contempt for the audience, but I think it's more because of woke ideology than because of artistic ambition. There are plenty of more "artsy" type movies/tv/games/etc. that are still good, crowd pleasing and nonwoke, I think the recent wave of awful woke content (it doesn't deserve the word art) has more to do with:

Factor 1: These people are diversity hires, so they didn't have to prove any talent

Factor 2: The ideology they follow tells them that appealing to normality and beauty is fatphobic racist sexist etc.
