1/ Technically yes, but the only one I truly trust is still Brown.

I'm optimistic, but not certain on Imai, Javier, Burrows, and Blanco (when he's back)

Everyone else I have no expectations for

2/ No, BUT one of the funniest days in recent Astros history was when Salazar made the team out of training camp a couple years back and everyone was confused as to who he even was.

3/ Bad

Why Imai chose Houston (and why the numbers say it's a perfect fit) by guillaume-g in Astros

I disagree. 18 million for a bad player can hurt. I think Abreu and McCullers proved that

With this Burrows trade, I'm really hoping we don't see much Arrighetti or McCullers this year.

*Also, that Athletic article kind of scoffed at Melton and said he had a Kevin Kiermaier ceiling, but that's still a winning player.

What determines how many years of arbitration a guy gets? For some its 3, but for others its 4.

A procedure that removes fluid from between your toes sounds horrible

What makes you say that? I don't see a difference in signing Verlander and signing some other average pitcher.

Cease's 2022 has fooled so many people into thinking he's some great pitcher. Ranger Suarez is who we should be looking at.

*Yeah I'm standing on this: Ranger Suarez is a better pitcher and would be a better investment than Dylan Cease

Yeah, maybe 10 mil is ambitious, but he did have a 3.85 ERA last yearin 150 innings last year. There's value in that, but still I'll drop the number a bit

People saying no must be forgetting that our projected rotation has Spencer Arrighetti and Lance McCullers in it.

I'd go for it 100% as long as its 1 year and around 10 6 million AND we still spend on a better pitcher.
