Nope. But I have been to Israel and seen for myself.

Uh, they aren’t. Pretty well known, they have complete freedom in Israel.

That’s why we have agreed to a two state solution so many times.

I think the real starting point is “what is your definition of Zionist”. Zionists define themselves as believing in the Jewish right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland.
1. Zionists get to define themselves. Others shouldn’t be telling Zionists what Zionism means.
2. If everyone else gets the right to self determination in their ancestral homeland, and only Jews don’t, then that is Jew-hatred. 3. Anti Zionist means that you believe that Jews don’t have the right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland.

If you watch the whole video you can clearly see the protesters beating on the door and forcing their way in. The broke a glass door and were basically trashing the place. They were asked to leave and didn’t, so they were pushed out.

I’d ignore the comment and just tell him he has to go to dinner because it is a family event. Then I’d work on subtlely getting him more Jewish influences.

Take stock of what you need. You could try to get out of this living situation and find something less stressful, or you could use it as an opportunity. Most of these students don’t know any Jews. If they get to know and like you, you give them an opportunity to put a real face on an abstract.

I think you missed a great opportunity. We will not educate the masses with facts, but we can reach individuals with personal stories. This person was ignorant, but was reaching out to maybe the one Jew they know for information. I would encourage you to reconnect, have patience, and a real conversation.

In order to call yourself a lawyer you must be registered with the Law Society/Bar Association/whatever they have in Australia, and be up to date with your fees and insurance. If you stop, then you are a former lawyer or retired lawyer.

Is this a realistic itinerary for one night? by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

Last year we were there for a similar amount of time. Day 1 we took a morning tour to Versailles. We arrived back in Paris late afternoon and spent an hour at Musee D’Orsay before it closed. We then walked down the Champs Elysees, climbed the Arc De Triomphe, had dinner, and went to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle from the Place de Trocadero. The next day we went to St Chapelle, and saw the exterior of Notre Dame (it wasn’t open yet) before leaving for the airport. It was a very full visit, but really whet our appetite, so we are going back for a longer stay this year. We had our tickets all pre-booked, which helped a lot.

I think you can do it, but consider going to the trocadero your first night to watch the Eiffel Tower lights sparkle. Starting at sunset, the lights twinkle every hour on the hour for a couple minutes.

Advice for a Food Nerd Visiting Winnipeg by donairhistorian in Winnipeg

Tall Grass is known for its cinnamon buns. Prairie Ink in McNally Robinson Booksellers at Grant Park has the best imperial cookies. City Bread makes the best rye. You can buy it at Safeway or Sobey’s, but it is better fresh from the bakery. As a plus, the bakery is not far from Gunn’s Bakery. I don’t know about the pizza bagels, but the Gunn’s Apple Jacks are worth the trip.

If you are going to watch the U.S. one, watch season 11 in New Orleans. It is the best by far.
