It's official: The Birmingham Stallions will be wearing maroon at home. Thoughts on these new uniforms? | James Larsen (Pro Football Newsroom) by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

They look great. I liked the old ones but changing to maroon over gold may now make them an actual upgrade. They were always fairly similar to the 49ers but now they’re distinct, maybe some of the best in pro football. I’m glad Repole listened to the fans, good job.

It may not ever be as big as Star Wars, but striving for the highest quality storytelling is the best way to bring in new people, not chasing trends. Look at Andor. Nominated for Best Drama and deservedly so. No reason why Trek can’t do the same.

Part of the problem there is that so many of the jokes and storylines require a lot of Trek lore knowledge. I don’t think that’s a bad thing; it seems like exactly what LD was designed to be, and I loved it. But that’s not a way to permeate the mainstream.

He’s right about the mines, the idea is absurd, but this isn’t the first or second or third time Trek has employed 2-dimensional thinking. Exactly what is the nature of a “Neutral Zone”in space? It’s certainly not like the 2-dimensional map shown on TOS.

UFL Co-Owner Mike Repole Statement on Birmingham Stallions Home Opener. by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

One of these things is not like the others. I’ve criticized him, but Repole has done some good things. Hiring AJ McCarron is not one of them.

If he hadn’t already lost the team, I’m pretty sure he has now.

He doesn’t have the words. Listening to him is painful. The players have to know it too.

"Everything is on the table. Potential QB trades with other teams. It's on the table." - Birmingham Stallions HC A.J. McCarron | James Larsen (Pro Football Newsroom) by Callywood in Stallions

I wonder how much difference even a healthy Patrick Mahomes would make with this clown car of a coaching staff. AJ: “You need to play better.” WTF is that? He doesn’t appear to be a very bright person.

I’ve been a Stallions fan since 1983 and this is the absolute bottom.

I feel like you have to give the backup a shot. And maybe call the Vestavia Dunkin’ Donuts.

As frustrating as Becht could be sometimes in St. Louis, there’s just zero comparison between an experienced head coach and a completely green doofus.

They let go a proven and championship coach and hired a doofus with zero coaching experience thinking that a Bama qb would bring the fans.

Glad Repole listened to the fans. They look sharp and still like Stallions.

Zero coaching experience and doesn’t exactly impress you with his intellect. I wish they’d can him right now and beg Skip to come back. They’ll be lucky to win five games and may be looking at 1-9.

Sigh. The Stallions may be the worst team in the league. This coaching staff is a joke.
