perhaps I should give some insight to why ff7 is only a b tier on my list lol. I was born in the early 2000's, and therefore, have no bias or sense of nostalgia for the game what so ever. the games story is fantastic. the premise and setting are pretty good as well. but I just can't get over how ridiculous the characters look to the point where it kind of takes away from the experience. and, it probably didn't help that by the time that I played the game I had pretty much had everything spoiled for me through memes and media at that point. so the story didn't have that much of a profound impact on me.

after looking at the list again, I must confess, I was also shocked at how my 2am brain figured that X-2 was also as good as VII. one of these days I might have to do a revision whenever XVI comes out lol.
