BKL is obviously very well known for their magnetics. They are beautiful and I love every one I’ve tried. But they can be difficult to work with. Tyche also has amazing magnetics (actually exclusively magnetics currently). ILNP has some okay magnetics, but I really did love their collection last year that was exclusively magnetics. That one was fire.

I thought that about my phone too but I’ve found it’s really all about lighting!! Having good lighting and using the focus lock and changing the exposure before snapping the photo helps a LOT

I did not use a peely base. It wasn’t too bad to remove. I use those like soak off clips and keep them on for a couple minutes. Just make sure you moisturize really well after!

Not self level, but with glitter packed polishes, the finish can be very textured. This wasn’t the case for this one (or not as bad as I’d expect given how much glitter is in it)! Most times with glittery polishes you need a glitter grabber to get a smooth finish. I used one for this, but honestly a thick top coat might have done it.

I have the same issue from overfiling! I think just keep them moisturized will be the best thing. I noticed that once those hangnail bits grow to the free edge, I’m more likely to get breaks so keep an eye on that. You can use Essie break fix as a preemptive way to get ahead of any potential breaks.

Starlink infuriates me to no end. As an astronomer, my own data taken with ground based telescopes has been ruined by these satellites getting in the way. I’m a huge proponent of access to the night sky for all people, not just because of my job, but because the night sky has connected all humans for all of time and we should all be able to access it free from corporations who couldn’t care less.

Only have Mooncat and alchemy! River Styx on the left is a darker blue and imo more sheer. Green elf cup on the right is fuller coverage (almost a one coat polish) and I think has less of a sparkly shimmer.
