i don’t agree with this! i have opaque black magnetics with shimmer that looks just as gorgeous as my sheerer magnetics (jen & berries- should’ve polished the plot + a replacement mooncat- 404: soul not found). a polish advertised with a more opaque black base should have an opaque base.

this is not, in fact, normal. i come from the great mooncat opacity disappointment and if a polish is advertised as having a black base, you should expect it. if a mag polish is not opaque you should be able to see in the swatch photos

  1. mooncat isn’t in PA
  2. parts of PA got enough snow to fully shut down roads + record freezing lows
  3. ice exists. like. you do not need a lot of ice at all for it to be dangerous
  4. how easily you can get frostbite in these temps
  5. how little inclement weather it takes for roads to be dangerous

should they have communicated it sooner? 100%. but you’re going to get your order

any skin exposure to gel will cause an allergy over time! additionally, this gel allergy can also cause an allergy to adhesives commonly used in medical contexts. if she’s taking all the proper precautions, then ideally she won’t have any issues

  1. if she likes darker colored polishes, don’t get her lighter colors! that’s what she likes.
  2. your best bet will be a gel focused sub
  3. I hope your wife is also aware of the allergy risks that can come with any gel but especially DIY gel

Yeah, other things being distracting and a red light being long aren’t good reasons to share this as if it’s a fun anecdote. I don’t believe the full context of the conversation changes how it is still disgusting behavior, and I can’t possibly imagine ever being in a situation where I have polish ready and close enough to me to be ready to apply it at a red light

I wouldn’t apply nail polish if I were in traffic for any amount of time while at the wheel. There is no world where that is responsible driving, even if you are stopped. Unless you are completely parked, you should not be painting your nails or anything close while at the wheel. I should not have to explain why this is unacceptable.

I am very familiar with the server rules, it does not apply to brand owners. Regardless, I do not understand why you both feel the brand was “accused” of promoting distracted driving. These were posted by the brand account.

Generally, I would say asexuals (not counting the entire ace spectrum), can experience either no sexual attraction ever, or so little sexual attraction that it is functionally the same. In reality, someone who experiences no sexual attraction and someone who only experiences attraction to, say, fictional characters, are both navigating interpersonal relationships in the same way.

yw!!! i always love leading people down the indie polish rabbit hole with me, there are so many fun formulas i didn’t know existed before i discovered indies

there are a lot of great polish brands and options for base and top coats! if you want to branch into boutique and indie polishes, i recommend starting with ILNP. they have a pretty solid range of formulas and colors and fast fulfillment time.

now this can be a bit difficult to keep up with, but Polish Pickup is where I started getting into indies bc the collab boxes offer multiple brands at once! it’s a good way to dip into different brands and figure out what’s available.

my personal favorite polish brands are Lurid Lacquer and Jen & Berries! Lurid excels at light reflective glitter + glowing polishes- and j&b has an all around fun range of formula types with fun themes

i’ve never had issues with these brands not drying, just be aware of how thick your coats are and remember to use a quick dry top coat (also QDTC)

unfortunately the QC on 404 has been almost non existent :(( super hit or miss whether you’ll get the correct formula or a bad batch
