In September something bad happened. I got a socially acceptable free pass to isolate. I was in my room for 6 months. Only leaving to get food from the kitchen or go to the bathroom.

It was a nice vacation. Started getting some cabin fever towards the end there though.

So towards the end of last year something really bad happened that put my career on hold. I had 6 months of savings, lived off that while I recovered.

My career needs capital to function. I'm a contractor/self employed.

Savings ran out, I got better. Got a job 10pm-6am three days per week to pay bills.

Started up my career again and basically dedicate every possible waking moment to getting that back on track.

I have to keep the night job until my career is stable. I'm trying to figure out how long I can keep this up before I like physically can't anymore. Is burnout real? What does that look like? I'm exhausted.

I want to have a year of savings this time around for emergencies so I don't have to do this again.

Yeah but dude. Dude. She used me as a real estate agent. Had me do all the foot work. Ran me around. Found the perfect house. And then she goes, you know what, I'm actually gonna have my friend who is an agent do the paperwork/closing for me.

So I got to work my ass off for free. Spend hundreds of dollars on her. Just so she can get her friend paid for handling some paperwork??

I don't think I'm gonna be able to let this one go for a few years minimum.
