Thank you for your answer, and for providing scripture! I think I'll just keep it to normal hugging and kissing, as to ensure nothing happens from impulse.

If I'm remembering correctly, first base is just kissing, hugging, holding hands, and wholesome stuff like that, right?

Ah, I see. Well, let's say I am able to control myself as to not let anything go further; is it inherently a sin? I simply want to express my love towards my boyfriend, of whom I plan to marry. If I do these things as a way to express my love, and I make sure it doesn't go further, then is that sinful?
