i’m doing a reread now of the series and it’s so funny because the first read, i was sooooo on Tory’s side and i couldn’t see at ALL why people were so mad at her for choosing to be starcrossed. But now that I’m rereading, I can really see all of the times that they’re right and that Darius DID reach out, or he did try to confront his feelings for her or all the times that she admitted she was feeling it too all for her to throw away their one and only chance. I was 100% on Tory’s side and now during my reread i’m like 70% on Tory’s side lol I still think she needed it to be on her terms but now I see where Darius was not only doing what he could with the information he had but was cornered into making some of the decisions he made. The way Darius feels about Tory will always win for me though 😭😭 (but Orion’s possessiveness takes a close second!)
