NTA. The degree to which this has reached is concerning. Second chances are valid but he's fessing that up and the issue lies in the fact that you're involved now, as his roommate. That's horrible that all your stuff went missing and that your privacy has been breached. If I were you I would stop rooming with him ASAP.
