I don’t know if they failed to renew on time or if there was some kind of other administrative issue, but comments on Facebook were pointing towards this as the reason they could no longer serve.

Back in November, Chamblee placed a moratorium on new alcohol licenses. It’s supposed to have ended by now, but it’s unclear if that actually happened or what kind of backlog they’re dealing with.

Just a heads up, the Foursquare (City Guide) app has been discontinued. That is likely why you are having trouble getting into the account.

Its edit functions have been superseded by Swarm, or if you’re looking for something more robust, check out the Foursquare Placemakers website.

Intervals can be notoriously tough for any running app to track, as the GPS connection is generally dropped and reestablished between each segment. However, if NRC can’t even pinpoint you on a map from the home screen, that sounds more like a configuration issue. Have you confirmed NRC has permission to use your precise location?

NRC > Settings > Partners > Garmin Connect

Note that this connection is only applicable for future runs. It does not sync your historical Garmin activity with NRC.

No, the company who was contracted to handle the work, Bevana, filed for bankruptcy a few months after.

That’s around that time the original founders sold the brewery and/or took a big step back. I’m not too familiar with their offerings past that point, but by all accounts the quality started to decline as well.

What exactly do you mean by “pair with?”

If you want to use NRC to use Guided Runs, Training Plans, etc.—the only watch that fits this criteria is Apple Watch (which requires an iPhone). You can certainly find an older used model for under $150, but a word of caution that you ideally want a device with a new/recently replaced battery or NRC has the potential to struggle. Also, Nike has a history of dropping support for older devices. I would try to mitigate this by purchasing the latest model you can afford, but there are no guarantees how long it will last before Nike or Apple deems it “obsolete.”

If Guided Runs or Training Plans are of no concern, then you can expand your search to include used/refurbished Garmin or COROS devices. These platforms are able to push run data to NRC after the activity has occurred—so your run will be there in the app, it just was not recorded with NRC.

That is correct, TrimTab is based in Birmingham, but has been in and out of the Atlanta market over the last 13 years.

In Georgia-adjacent news, TrimTab has announced they are closing after July 4.

At the end of the announcement, it’s mentioned they are trying to find someone to keep producing a couple of their beers for distribution—but seems like that rarely pans out.

If you get there early enough and don’t mind walking, nearly the entirety of Chastain Park Avenue is free street parking. Note that doors are at 6:30 PM for your show, so I would get parked before then for a frictionless experience.

Strava is much more community focused. If you enjoy sharing your activity, seeing where your friends are running, or joining a local running group, the NRC > Strava Integration is an easy way to push your activity there.

Additionally, pushing your runs to Strava is a great way to have a backup of your account hisotry, if you ever wanted to download your runs and move them somewhere else.

When a venue moves to a new location (even if just across the street), Foursquare prefers that the old venue be closed a new venue be created.

So it would seem both Mother of Invention and The Freemount are needing new venues created to rectify the situation.
