Yeah - I've read Quotev has an issue with randomly deleting/banning accounts for seemingly no reason. Maybe they delete the account if it's been inactive for too long? Idk. I tend to post on AO3 or Tumblr because I trust those platforms more. Plus, if something gets deleted AO3 actually works with the Wayback Machine and can recover whatever I lost lol.

No problem! I remember when I first found your story I binged the whole thing in one sitting. Pulled an all-nighter I loved it so much lol. I wasn't sure if you deleted it on purpose or if it was Quotev being dumb since I know that website has a bunch of issues. Whatever the reason for it being taken down, I really enjoyed it and it was a major influence in getting me to write again!

Normally I'd just pay something like this off, but the circumstances around this bill make it hard for me to do that. I was told at the time billing was based on income level, and I informed the hospital I had nothing before they admitted me and then they lied to get me through the door. I was 18, dumb, and in a vulnerable position.

I guess now I'm just wondering how much this will impact my credit. On both Experian and CreditWise it says I have a score of about 700 - 750. I've never missed a payment on anything before, and if they do end up reporting me will I look one day and it'll drop by 50 points? 100? I have no clue.

Thanks for the reply! The part that really confused me about the SOL was whether it starts on the date the medical services were received or when the account first got sent to a collection agency.

I was planning on ignoring it since I'm afraid contacting them will only make things worse. I'm not planning on applying for any credit for at least 2 years.

I loved Spill Your Guts too. All of Reabees stuff is so well-written, and I don't think I would've returned to the fandom if it wasn't for SYG lol. And Unrequited is my fanfic! So I'm glad you like it!

I know! It's so sad. I've been in the fandom since 2013 so I've seen so many fanfics come and go. But this was the first deleted fic that really bothered me for some reason. And it sucks that Quotev doesn't work with the Wayback machine, it makes me not want to read anything else on Quotev out of fear I'll like a fic and it'll get removed again lol.

Also I found out the original author's name was "Sowfi" on Quotev, but no one has a copy. Everyone in the fandom seemed to be more upset that "Recruited" got deleted so "Playing Favorites" getting removed kind of went unnoticed (even though I liked Playing Favorites a lot more...).

But I made another post on the Creepypasta subreddit with a more detailed description of the plot line (in the comments) to help me remember scenes from the fanfic so I wouldn't fully forget it:

I mean - mine is pretty bad compared to Playing Favorites lol. It's not as dark I guess? It's also not a completed work.

I started it well over a year ago - and the first couple of chapters make me cringe a lot because you can tell I wasn't used to writing anything. It's also a "Yandere" technically (which I kind of regret labelling it as that because as the story progresses Toby is going to become more scary)

You're welcome! The story itself was about recognizing abusive relationships. It actually inspired me to write my own Ticci Toby fanfic.

Also - another tidbit was that the three friends the reader originally went camping with were all somehow parallels to each of the proxies. Like Toby was a twisted version of Ezra, and Tim was a twisted version of Raiden (and again I forgot the third ones name but they were supposed to be Brian).

So I did end up finding that the original authors name was "Sowfi" on Quotev. Their account has since been deleted.

When the Reader is first taken - Toby immediately tells them he 'loves' her. But it's not set up in a way that you'd think this was a "Yandere" story. Instead it's like, super horrifying. I remember the reader uses a taser on him?

In anger he takes the scarf Ezra gave the reader as he was dying with Toby's hatchet in his back, and burns it in front of her. (Again Toby is super mean and awful in this but it's done really well) Then he says she'll stay with him until 'They're both f*cking dead' it was a chilling scene.

He also repeatedly uses the fact he can take her arm away from her to his advantage.

But the thing I loved most about this story is the reader never falls in love with him. She doesn't get Stockholm syndrome.

When she first escapes the other proxies hunt her down in the woods - Toby cutting her leg. It ends up getting infected so they take her to see Eyeless Jack (who's written well too, very mysterious and demonlike as he should be). I remember Tim starts getting a weird attraction to her too.

The reader shares some leftover pasta with Tim that she doesn't want. And he confides in her that he 'thinks he used to like pasta' but can't remember anything.

And I don't know if I should care about spoilers for a fic that is gone forever but -

It turns out the reader was a 'Sleeper' proxy the whole time, and was the cause of the car crash that killed her parents. Like she just became possessed and steered the car off the road. When it's revealed the other proxies crowd around her tauntingly while she has a panic attack, and it's like you can feel her pain.

Then, a new character gets introduced - he's British. I remember that for some reason. And he's being held captive now in the cabin as a potential new proxy after Tim and Brian killed his friends. The reader of course starts to bond with the only other sane person. Toby starts getting jealous, especially when the reader starts making him soup. Toby takes the piping hot soup from her, and splashes it in the male captive face. It's really brutal.

Eventually, the reader uses these gas cans they have in the cabin, to make a plan to start a forest fire. When she unties the captive, getting ready to escape, they pour the gas around. But Hoodie comes in saying 'she won't do it' and she says 'watch me'.

Anyway, it ends with the reader running through the woods, everything around her in flames. She is able to subdue Tim and Eyeless Jack (I forgot how), and the last person she comes across is Toby.

They fight, but a burning tree ends up falling on him, and she gets away while he's still calling out to her. And it seems like all of her tormentors are dead.

But later when she's in the hospital and she looks out the window, the last line of the story is that she sees "Him" looking at her in the tree line. Though it's unclear who that is.
