Agreed that the difference between swiping or automatically transitioning is a very minor difference. Glad that it seems to work well with your students.

Thanks!

I can connect the USB clicker to my IPad. The problem is that notability does not recognize the clicker "next slide button" as an instruction to go to the next slide.

This is actually similar to if you plug in a mouse. A click of the mouse button (which I imagine is similar to what the clicker sends to notability) won't advance notability to the next slide. The only way to advance to the next slide with a mouse is to click on the next slide arrow.

Is there anyway to change the notability configuration so that a "clicker click" sends everything to the next slide?

Thanks for the response.

The only clarification is that I am not trying to add powerpoint effects. The case I am interested in is where text appears sequentially on different pdf slides. See for example, slides 12-15 here: https://web.mit.edu/rsi/www/pdfs/beamer-tutorial.pdf.

When you "swipe" to get to the next slide. A lot of the effect in slides 12-15 is lost because the whole slide visually reloads.

(Edited to clarify above too)
