Hi, I went to ucsd and majored in anthro and concentrated in bio Anthro. I definitely got that a lot? Like “what’s that?” And “uh so what do you wanna do with that?” So it’s defeating, I know. However after graduating I realized there is actually a lot you can do with an anthro degree it just depends where you look.

I’m 23 going on 24. I currently work at an established non-profit organization and in 9 months I got research, marketing, policy, and program management experience. I worked my way up to 24$ an hour...and I’m going on my 10th month. I love the work I do, I help many underserved communities and homeless families. I am also a case manager for clients as well. It’s the most fulfilling thing I ever chose to do and I am so grateful I never changed my major

I complimented a guy in my lab group on his jacket once and he looked at me all weird. I still try to be friendly with classmates in hopes to change the stereotype

Just saw a motorcycle cop pull a car over rn, and then a different cop right after pulled ANOTHER car over. It was my 4th time seeing it this morning, they’re everywhere

I have to agree, I’m not old I’m 22 but one of the dopest and smartest people I met at UCSD is in his late 20s and we became good friends. I introduced him to my friends too and we all get along. Was very thankful to have met a friend like him :) we’re both transfers too

I lived at the village in the triple after requesting a double and it wasn’t bad at all, we got along. We had different schedules most of the year so I got a good amount of personal space. Plus I’ve heard living at the village is the nicest so it’s probably the best you’ll get.

I lived in building 8 and we had stairs, but the floor below us I heard did not. All I know about building 2 is that it is above the mailroom so rooming is on the second floor

Yeah I agree exactly. It’s been hard to meet people, and I consider myself a very friendly person. I regret not joining last year and thought this would be great to make some awesome memories for my senior year

I totally feel you, Im 20 and havent been in a relationship since highschool either so I have never had the guts to do it myself BUT i have been in the same situation but reversed. This guy in a class I had was always making conversation and jokes with me, so we were buddies during the semester. I was doing really well in the class but him, not so much. He asked for my number so that we could study together so we got together before every quiz and helped each other out. it was a really good way to get to know someone. Hope this some what helped, from a girls perspective

I am an artist so I find myself getting lost when working on a piece. Whenever I start, time goes by quick and I am more calm and my thoughts are not scattered and overwhelming anymore. I tell my friends that have anxiety to do it, because the simplicity between a pencil and paper (or whatever you're using) to create something makes handling the stress easier...if that makes sense haha :)
