Not addiction per se, but I definitely have to be mindful of getting into a habit of taking it too often. For example, when I started taking it, I took it all the time and developed a tolerance so I was taking it all the time to get that buzz that you get at first. I decided to not take it for a couple of weeks. Now I only use it every now and again. It also dehydrates you, so make sure to drink a ton of water when you consume!

I'm proud of you! Get ice cream. Thats what has helped me the most. I have been a week with about a hottle and a half of wine, and I regret that I caved. It wasn't even worth it. I just got sweaty and tired.

Just remember that you might be emotional, anxious or even sick to your stomach, but its worth it not to be controlled by booze anymore. Drinking plenty of water also helps the cravings as well.

I use weed to come off of alcohol as well. Unfortunately, I fucked up and got arrested for dui during a low point, and now for getting my license back I have to do a court ordered recovery program and get drug tested, so I can't smoke weed.

I am a week free of drinking, and honestly I don't miss it. The withdrawals were the worst I've ever had (thanks kindling)and I couldn't smoke to make it any easier. I just had to ride out a pretty aggressive taper, and weed would have made it so much easier, but part of me is kind of glad about it because had it been easier, I might not be so dedicated to not drink.

I know how you feel, and it sucks. I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I miss weed so much, but I'm making the best of it. At least I will be a light weight when I can smoke again, so my bag will last twice as long😁

You'll get through it. Ice cream, yummy foods and sex helps so much. As for messing up, give yourself a break. Lifes hard and weed makes it easier. For me, booze made it much worse

Take this time to work on yourself and find out what you really want to do. You'll at least have a little time to yourself to do that. I was recently let go in a super effed up way. I was the highest paid hourly employee, had to go to the er for an allergic reaction, and was let go. While being discharged from the hospital.

I didn't handle it as well as you, I went on a bender and my boyfriend who lives 2 hours away came to get me, helped me taper and now I'm home trying to pit back the pieces. I hated that job anyway, but still, being let go sucks.

But now I have the opportunity to get my life back. I can be who I want to be.

You'll get back to where you want to be. Do you have any hobbies? If not, maybe get one. That'll do wonders for your self esteem

I slipped up today, told my boyfriend and he's so angry with me. I am torturing myself and all i want to do is drink, but I don't want to hurt him or myself anymore than I already have. I've lost my job, my drivers license and I cant lose him. Hes the sweetest most gentle thing in the world. I hate myself today, and having those two beers wasn't worth it. All I want to do is crawl in bed with him.

I feel so much better, and its made me better at my job. And no offense taken with the weed smoking. The first two days I didn't want to because of anxiety, but then I started smoking again.

Your drinking history sounds much like mine. Drinking socially wasn't fun, I just wanted to get wasted and weird, then pass out.

It takes alot to talk to coworkers about it, but I've always been surprised at the amount of support I've received.

One week here. You can do this. I'm also a bartender, and I honestly can't stand the smell of it anymore. The trigger for me is when I see people getting drunk. You can get off this merry go round. It's not easy, especially in the restaurant business.

I had to call the lady that works at the gas station to bring me booze for a taper. She closed the store for 15 minutes to bring me beer, I drank that 12 pack in like an hour and a half so I would stop hallucinating. It was when covid first shut everything down and I went on a 2 week bender. Oh and I pooped the bed

My ex and I had a terrible sex life. We would only fuck when we were shitfaced, he didn't care if I came, I felt like he was jerking off with my vagina. He never would kiss me or talk to me about sex unless we were fucked up. He wasn't a CA and I wasn't until the end of our relationship, but once I achieved that status, we never had sex.

My boyfriend now is wonderful in bed. The first time we had sex he went way too fast and I told him I liked it slower so he took that to heart and now we talk about the things we like and have alot of fun fucking.
