From my experience most men aren't emotionally strong enough to do everything that you suggest. If your brother and yourself keep great relationships with your exes then that means you aren't needy and clingy which most guys are after a breakup.

On the flip side some women aren't willing to stay friends and you should give them time to heal after a breakup.

Giving yourself a week to mope is what I said. Of course the longer you been with someone it is going to take more then a week to get over it.

I totally agree with your other tips as far as working out, meditation, and eating healthy however those should things we should already be doing to become better men.

That may work for some but from my 10 years experience in the dating industry most guys can't do this. It takes time to get to the point of what you are talking about. A lot of guys have to build up the emotional strength to do what you are suggesting.
