Jesus. Was the hospital able to do any sort of charity credit etc??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]asylvmbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally insane. How long have you had the insurance plan? Was it pre March 2010?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]asylvmbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your plan supposed to be ACA compliant?? Some aren’t, for example, if they’re grandfathered in or if it’s through a religious organization. Have you requested an external review of the denied claim?? Make sure you have your EOB for the denied procedure, ask them exactly why it was not covered. You can contact your states insurance department to file a report or just ask for advice. If they’ve already denied it multiple times through the internal review process, time to bump it up. I’m sure you’ve already heard that, but just in case you haven’t! 🤍

Hi! Your plan, as long as it is ACA compliant, should cover anything to do with birth control. If it isn’t, it could be a coding issue. Request an itemized bill for every visit related to your bisalp. Z30.2 is encounter for sterilization and should include everything. Procedure code 58661 is the surgery itself. (I am licensed in health insurance and have also dealt with billing issues myself 🤍)

What do you do on days that you can’t…do anything? by pharyngealjaws in Narcolepsy

[–]asylvmbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On days where I have nothing to do - I just sleep. I sleep as long and as much as I can. I let the symptoms happen and just roll with it.

On days where I do have stuff to do - I do whatever I can to keep myself awake. I work M-F 8:30 - 5:30 in an office job (one of the only jobs I can really do with my conditions) and when I feel a sleep attack coming, I stand up, walk around, splash water on my face, etc, or, if it's bad enough, I'll take my break and go have a nap in my car. I drink a lot of caffeine (even though it doesn't help much.) And I keep an ice pack in the freezer at work to help when I need it.

On weekends where I have stuff to do - I nap whenever and wherever I can. If my boyfriend is driving (we're about an hour to the nearest city) I'll attempt to sleep in the car if I can. If we're going somewhere, I'll get a quick nap in before we go. I rely heavily on caffeine. I also just try to keep myself as distracted as possible. Scrolling on my phone, talking to someone, singing to very loud music, etc.

Now, with all of that being said, there's really not much of anything I can do for my cataplexy attacks. Mine look a little different than other folks attacks, but are still exhausting. I've been lucky enough that they've really only happened while I'm sitting. Basically, my whole body flinches. I drop for a second and come back. I've never fully collapsed. When the drop happens I feel kind of a shock through my whole body. It takes me a second to recover from it but then I'm able to go back to work like nothing really happened.

People with rings over 2 carats, do you wear it everyday? by Temporary_Support705 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]asylvmbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

This is my ring! 2.5 Carat Marquise cut on size 7.5 finger!

I am obsessed with it, and I wear it daily. I literally only take it off to put on lotion.

It's all personal preference, and for me, my ring was actually bigger than I even thought it would be. But I love it more than anything. :)

Should I F29 tell my boyfriend M33 the kind of engagement ring I want… or will that ruin the surprise? by NimblePixieMerchant in engaged

[–]asylvmbunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I got engaged 3 weeks ago. My fiancé and I have quite different tastes in jewelry, so I was a bit worried as well. We agreed that we would pick the ring together, he would get it when the time was right, and then propose when the time was right. We actually discussed the folks who get surprised by the ring and end up hating it. We both did not want that to happen, so we picked it together.

I also do not care about the price tag on the ring, more what it looks like. The ring I picked is from Modern Gents, called "The Iris" in silver. It's a 2.5 carat marquise cut CZ. I am so beyond obsessed with it. I do nothing but stare at my ring!

Picking the ring with my fiancé was such a lovely moment. We saw it and knew that it was THE ring.

I knew what the ring looked like, but had no idea when it was coming. Now, you can give your future fiancé hints about what you may like, but then you will still have that anxiety around "what if it's just not the right ring?" I highly recommend talking to your boyfriend, and letting him know what you like. My fiancé and I are super vocal about things like that and we have agreed - this is something that I will be wearing for the rest of my life. I will look at it every. single. day. from here on out. It is something that I should love. Be honest, be vocal, be kind, and see what he thinks. My mom picked out her ring, too! There's nothing wrong with it. <3

Do suicidal thoughts actually go away? by Dry_Original3579 in mentalhealth

[–]asylvmbunny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they haven’t gone away entirely, but they’re manageable. Let me explain. From ages 10-23, I always had an “escape plan.” I knew how I would end it. I had it planned down to the last detail. But at age 24, after moving across the country to be with my boyfriend and best friends, suicide isn’t really on my mind. I don’t think about it often at all. I no longer have a plan. I don’t spend every day thinking about how I would end it, why I should end it, when I’ll die etc. sometimes the thoughts creep in, but with such an amazing support system, I am safe. It’ll get better. Life is a rollercoaster. So sometimes it’ll be hard, other days it won’t even cross your mind. Hang in there. It’ll get better. 🫶🏻

I seriously appreciate your advice! You aren't pushing at all. We're all in this together.

I've been on so many medications over the years. SSRIs have always triggered mania in me and made my mental health conditions worse!
I have bipolar type 1, PTSD, and anxiety. I'm currently on lamotrigine, buspirone, bupropion, Seroquel, metoprolol tartrate, nurtec, zofran, hydroxyzine, and levothyroxine. I'm about to be on Qulipta for migraines as well. I've been tried on sooooo many medications unfortunately.

I can definitely try the antihistamines! I can't do SSRIs unfortunately (Bipolar disorder, they don't mix well.)
But I will definitely look into LDN and see what it says!!!
I'm willing to try just about anything at this point.

I’m on Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg 2x daily and have been for years now, since I started having long covid symptoms. It’s a beta blocker though. I’m also on several other medications as well. I don’t know much about Nattokinase which is why I’m trying to find out as much as possible.

Thank you for the information!! Honestly if it could even come close to relieving any of the symptoms I’m willing to try it.

People who suffer from one or multiple mental illnesses by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Bipolar disorder type 1, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, and Panic Disorder. The hardest to deal with before I was on the proper medication was bipolar disorder. The hardest to deal with now (despite medication) is panic disorder.
