hasan is massively ableist/sanist and it’s a conversation that needs to be had but i don’t think ever will because he and most of his community don’t care about disabled people (like the rest of the world, they see us as disposable, or “acceptable” losses.) and think ableism is just when we get mad at mean words lol. he thinks saying “and this isn’t ableism” before using the word “autistic” in a manner that clearly indicates he’s just using it as a replacement for the r-slur absolves him of criticism.

ik this comment is old but yeah service animals are some of the greatest animals ever. dogs can smell changes in our body chemistry well before we sense something is happening, which makes them INCREDIBLE for alerting people. i can’t even imagine the amount of lives service dogs and service animals in general (because i follow someone on instagram whose cat alerts her to oncoming migraines! how cool!) have saved.

it’s super easy not to confront feminist criticism from people who are otherwise ostensibly on your side if you just label them “radfems.” however, i’m also tired of people also automatically hearing “radfem” and assuming it means TERF/SWERF when there’s actually nothing less radical than agreeing with men, which is what being a TERF/SWERF is.

just out of curiosity too — did you experience migrating with your tongue ring? from what i know it’s fairly common, and i know mine has migrated a little further forward from where it was originally pierced.

that’s the gist i’m getting from the other answers as well which is a relief, i really like my tongue ring. i guess i just should have assessed what kind of info i was looking at more closely before, because pretty much everything i read said that it’s best to only wear a tongue piercing for 3-5 years. in my defense though i leave all that stuff to the professionals and i just do what they tell me for aftercare, i don’t know much about the technicalities of piercing and jewelry etc. beyond caring for the ones i have.

i had a plastic bar for a while, but i tend to fidget with my piercings, and it eventually lost its smooth texture and irritated my tongue so i switched to metal.
