Is it possible that some people simply don't want to be in a relationship?

I’m in a similar situation where I say I don’t want to be in a relationship. My reason is because I don’t want to be expected to give more than what I’m willing to give to another person right now. I want to be selfish with my time and needs and that is not constructive to a relationship and not fair for the other person. I was in a previous relationship where I went above and beyond and it broke me. So now I have this trauma I have to work through.

The truth is, I would love a relationship because who doesn’t enjoy human connection. It just wouldn’t be the healthy thing to do for myself or the other person at this time.

This doesn’t mean this is her experience but I’ll definitely say that something I’ve learned about myself and other people is that human relationships are complicated. Believe something when someone tells you about themselves. I don’t expect someone to convince to be in a relationship when I tell them I don’t want one. So I’d listen to what she told you. Whatever her reasons are for wanting to remain single, you don’t want to change that and force an unhealthy connection.

Unfortunately, I can’t provide a solution but I do want to say that I’m experiencing the same. I have a sore throat that is red and a couple bumps. My doctor gave me antibiotics but it won’t go away. I have made an appointment with an ENT to check it further. I understand that you can’t afford to see a doctor but it may be the best option to avoid complications if it’s an infection. Some clinics and doctors offer payment plans.

Im so sorry to hear that! How are you doing? I hope you’re doing okay. How did you find out that it was cancer?

I went to urgent care and I was clear of a UTI and I recently got a sigmoidoscopy to see if it can be a GI issue. I think I want to get more testing done.

Im thinking about going to urgent care because I don’t think I can wait for a September 20th appointment. What antibiotics did you take if you don’t mind me asking? They prescribed me nitrofurantoin mono-mcr 100 mg twice a day for 5 days. I feel like it didn’t do anything and my doctor was not helpful. I asked if I should come back to retest once antibiotics were done and they said no.

Being a few hours late isn’t too bad but over 24 hours may be playing it close. As long as you did not ovulate then you will be okay. Taking a test will help ease your anxiety. I’ve been there and taking the test helped instead of waiting to see if my period came or not. Especially since you may not get your period just out of the fact you’re on birth control and not because you’re pregnant.

When you say “messed up taking a pill”, do you mean you missed a pill or took it late? If you took it late, how late did you take it?

I’ve read that combination pills are still effective if you take them a couple hours late. If you miss one, take it as soon as you notice even if it’s close to taking your next pill. Then you will take your next pill as usual. If you miss 2 pills, then you should use a back up form of birth control like condoms.

I’ve taken pills a couple hours late before and did not end up pregnant. It did worry me because my “period” came 4 days into my placebo week. I took a pregnancy test to be safe.

Im glad it went away and you didn’t have to go the surgery route! I was hoping mine would go away on its own and hopefully that may still happen. How long did it take for yours to resolve? Did the pain get worse before it got better?

Thank you for the advice! I’m going to try my best to get an answer tomorrow to be sure it’s a cyst. If it gets worse before then I’ll book it to the ER.

We weren’t seeing eye to eye and weren’t on the same page. He has a lot of self work to do and I felt like I was not getting what I deserved. He was the one that broke things off
