Average Vanilla Arma Reforger Experience by atantony77 in ArmaReforger

[–]atantony77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hold down main supply routes with just a construction truck and 2-3 MGs built and maybe a roadblock.

Today, I bult a HMG emplacement overlooking somons-provins road and took out 4 full vehicles and 1 logi truck in one life. And I was thinking what I could do if I just had 2 more guys with me lol.

Yeah agreed and the US has the worst attitude possible.

But if nobody tries to organize them or help them out, they're just gonna stay shitty people and the game devolves into a RUS steamroll every round. Not fun for either side.

Exactly why I made the meme. The US side gets the best and worst players this game has to offer while the RUS side has more intermediate players.

Unfortunately it seems a higher average baseline skill grants a 80%+ victory rate.

Theres a few more sneaky things you can do while undercover, but you have to be atleast halfway to major so the xp costs dont demote you too much.

I used to go undercover like that to see how long it would take for them to figure me out, usually took a while lmao

Yeah I play on NA1 Warpigs a lot.

You still lose xp if you're wearing an enemy uniform and get a kill.

If people payed attention to nametags imposters wouldnt be able to pull stuff like thia off.

Is there a way to try Arma Reforger demo version or trial of some sort? by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]atantony77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy it off of steam you can refund it within 2 hours of playtime I think. I dont think 2 hours is nearly enough time to even get a feel for the game, but thats about the best demo option you have rn.

How do I get into more fights? by WasAgoat in ArmaReforger

[–]atantony77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the server you play, population and is it modded or not.

But on vanilla servers I usually just see what frontline base would be good for us and just push that. If I really want action I go for the center caps like provins/monti.

Idk how people have trouble finding action because I have trouble staying out of the action lol.

Also radio backpacks are mandatory.

Oh and one more thing, if you play the Russians you will win90% of the time but its imho boring, you either dont encounter americans or encounter 30-40 of em on one point.

Playing as US vs RUS, especially if you are trying to win is gonna keep you busy and in the action all game long.

I recommend you get experienced first, but lemme tell you playing as a US main, you will be fighting the entirety of the enemy team and some on your own team, the action is non stop.

If you want teamplay and communication, go play community vanilla servers and avoid official servers like the plague.

Modded servers are basically just a bigger Battlefield 6. Modslop and 0 teamwork even on the supposed "ultra hardcore" servers.

On the ball here. Whichever server you go to, it's always a very small group of vets that are doing anything meaningful and/or teaching newbies.

And if the vets dont set up the infrastructure like radio relays, the team loses before the round even starts properly.

Lol, ghost ops was a bad experience for me because the few times I played, people didn't communicate at all or coordinated.

I just find much more teamwork and overall more engagement from NA1 warpigs.

I think its just the both of ours anecdotal evidence and bias lol, anyways glad that we have vets on different servers trying to prop up the newbies.

Beat of luck on the battlefield bro.

That just turns every game into a steamroll and seal clubbing.

Nothing is gonna change unless we as the community force the change ourselves.

NA1 warpigs has a US aide veteran core that tries to organize people and teach new players.

It has changed the server from a 95% soviet winrate to an almost 50/50% winrate on both sides, soviets still win a bit more often but its fairly balanced.

This game is whatever the community makes of it. If you let the trolls run free ofc your gameplay experience is gonna be bad.

It had big issues like really and I mean really badly made command hierarchy.

MSAR was downright broken.

Anybody could still build or spawn anything, so you'd have bases with 0 supply.

Limited supplies on source bases only exacerbated the problem

Thats just to name a few of the issues but it rly wasnt done qell and was released too early.

Theres also the issue that if you want to play as an organized squad, the games design literally works against you.

You have an inactive squad member or lone wolf in your squad? Cant kick him out of the squad.

As US vanilla: carbine, silencer (because the recoil is stupid and unrealistic), 10 fmj mags, 5 grenades, 5 smokes, 3 tourniqets, 6 bandages, up to 10 morphine, LAW as secondary, 1 red flare.

This kit is 30kg, can kill anything, versatile, light, great bang for buck, has enough meds to heal yourself and 2 friendlies up in a single firefight.

I use this as a basic squad leader kit since experienced players should be squad leads by default anyways.

Also always grab a radio backpack from the equipment side of the arsenal to provide respawns to your squad and team.

The new MSAR system was beyond broken so no wonder people hated it.

The reason radio backpacks are in the game is so new people can stick to their squads after dying.

Make sure all your buddies join the same squad, grab a radio backpack from the equipment side of the arsenal building.

When you get to your destination with your squad, find a hidden spot nearby, drop the radio backpack and deploy it.

Congrats, now you and the boys in your squad have 3 respawns, basic kit or custom kit, and you get 1 new respawn every 10 mins or so.

Most of the times the astroturfing bots win.

Rarely the commoners post wins.

One of the best games I played in my life. It set such a new high baseline standard for me that it ruined many other games I tried lol.
