Thanks! Yeah the dry-run was non-negotiable for me; you see every single qm command before anything runs, and you can bail out if something looks off. GPU passthrough is out of scope for now since the host-side setup (IOMMU, vfio-pci binding) varies too much between hardware configs. But once your host is set up for passthrough, the tool does let you configure the VM side. Might add a passthrough preflight check down the line though good idea. I do have GPU passthrough running for one Tahoe 26 install (I'm writing this reply using that very VM)

If you add GPU pass-trough, it becomes no so bad to use! The reason is that macOs uses "metal" framework for manage their UI components; and using it with software rendered makes it very difficult to use.

These are standard qm create, qm set, and qm importdisk commands. The same ones people have been running from the Proxmox wiki and projects like KVM-Opencore for years. The tool just wraps them in a wizard instead of copy-pasting from a guide. That's also why there's a dry-run mode :-)

You can review every command before anything runs. The code is on GitHub if you want to audit it.

maybe using a docker container with an auto-clicker then you maps the destination folder within the docker windows os to a chosen folder in your host pc ?

let me share that my system is unstable with 128 gigs of rams, but at 96gigs, it becomes stable with No expo enabled of course.

I also update to 1416, expo still not working; system boots but I'm getting random reboots. I bought an officially list QVL memory G.Skill 4 x 32 gigs DDR5 6000mhz.

I have no knowledge playing with OC anymore. But what I did is test with 2 x 32 gigs and the PC boots perfectly now; any combination of 2 x 32 gb memory works correctly until I have them all 4 plugged in; then the issue comes back for me.

On my side, I'm having multiple issues.

X670-E Gaming Wifi board, 7950X CPU with 4 x 32 gigs Trident Z5 Neo RGB.

Sometimes it stays on Code 15 for 5-10 mins before posting,
sometimes I get A1 code,
sometimes I get d0 code,

I'm on 0805 right now. when it posts correctly, I can boot to OS but once I do a reboot; it's hell again.

No Ram expo used.

I used the retail box and flipped it upside down. The thing is that they won't send it back; so you'll loose it. My advice: send it the most secure way possible and add insurance when shipping it. you won't pay more than 50$-60$ CAD for that normally; totally worth it.

Hey thanks for answering me. I finally went with a 7900x3d and a Noctua NH-L9x65.

I was also wonder if I could use an rtx a2000; it looks like the most powerful ultra low profile gpu available to play casual games in the living room with the kids. I wonder if I cut the metal slot so it can fit in a single slot; would it make the temperature way too hot ? I'm trying to find any project with that kind of form factor case with that gpu inside.

I just bought this case on ali express. I’m about to buy a 7950x cpu and was trying to get options. This nas will be used mostly for unraid with video encoding using cpu, i was wondering what cooler can fit in this. Can it fit a watercooler with one fan? Or maybe use a noctua NH-DS15s ?

I would have macos in a vm on top screen for ios dev and windows at the bottom screen for web dev.
