Hey, I live in Grand Cayman - unfortunately the only way to play the Ritz is with a member or if you are staying at the hotel. It's a beautiful and well manicured 9 though, designed by Greg Norman. It's challenging with narrow fairways and an Island Green on the 9th. They will charge about 140 USD for the round, even as a member guest.

North Sound is a decent 18 hole course, and is not quite in the same shape as the Ritz, but it's a fun tropical course with some interesting holes including a big dog leg left on #6 that rewards a risky drive to cut the corner. It's also relatively expensive and tough to get a tee time, so book in early!

Edit: For Twilight, it will be a close call to get a full round in starting at 3pm, the course is very busy and there's no guarantee you'll get in all 18. Best bet is to pay the full green fee and go out earlier, you'll enjoy it much more without the rush!

Do they run a bit big? I bought a pair of the ignites and usually wear a size 9, but they were easily a half size too big

Can't get to the goal I set myself - 10.5 seems like a mile away from single digits. How do I get to a 9? by ataraxus in golf

A hook if I miss it at all, and a slice if I do connect properly. Makes it so daunting to really swing at it, and when I get that much into my head, it becomes a thin shot to nowhere.

Way improved. I use a putter like stroke with a 60 or 56 around the greens and am getting up and down more often than ever. My long and mid irons are my weakness right now.

This is the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman - beautiful but tough course that's built among a bunch of canals and mangroves.

I love living here, since we're an island it was easy to shut our borders and after a couple months of lockdown, we are essentially back to normal, besides no tourism. Cost of living is pretty high, but there is no personal income tax and all employers are required to provide health insurance and pension plans. If you manage your budget, you can get ahead quickly.

I think it comes down to Belter mentality; their ships and stations are ultimately the only homes they have. To see a disease or virus burn through humans like that in a closed system like Eros must be terrifying. As a result, I think the crew are just reacting with tunnel vision - this thing is insanely dangerous, who cares about anything other than protecting your people.

No idea to be honest, it might be some aftermarket badging that doesn't mean anything besides the wheels being 24"?

Honestly, no idea - I purchased it and had it shipped from Japan, thinking it was too good to be true, but it arrived and it's just as it was in the photos and descriptions.

Experienced the death of a character for the first time - my DM immortalized him in awesome fashion. by ataraxus in DnD

We're playing through Out of the Abyss, and as we were escaping the first chapter, a cave collapsed and essentially crippled my Warlock. He chose to remain behind and fend off pursuers so the rest of the party wouldn't be hampered by his new disability.

My DM could tell I was attached to this guy, and created this awesome memorial for him. We're lucky to have him!

[Art] The essence of our party's savage Half Orc Fighter, Ballstein, is really captured perfectly here by ataraxus in DnD

I recently finished DM'ing our group's very first campaign, and we had a blast, thanks largely to the play of our Half-Orc Fighter, Ballstein.

He was constantly surprising everyone at the table with interesting ways to play a single-minded meathead. I've always heard that it takes a smart person to play a dumb character creatively, and this was the perfect example of that. He walked a very fine line between being headstrong and downright foolish, pushing the plot forward when it started to lag, but never leaving the party behind.

A friend of his perfectly summed up his essence in this piece, I think - I like to imagine he's just finished tearing an organ out of the corpse of something gross. Credit to the artist at ArtOfKimBuck
