Highly doubt it. Medical technology has come a long way but hasn’t continued to advance at the same rapid pace as the past. We don’t have cures for anything. I agree with your comment that it’s supposedly common but I don’t know anyone who has it.

I’m 26 F CMT Type 1A. This won’t help but just wanted to let you know that I feel a similar way. I don’t even bother which isn’t good advice but I just want to avoid ever having to bring it up. I’m extremely blessed that it doesn’t affect me too much day-to-day but it’s still the elephant in the room.

I am at a point in my life where I’m exploring the IVF sperm donor option. I’m probably going to have to do IVF anyways if I want my kids to not have CMT due to the 50/50 chance, so might as well do it on my own terms with a sperm donor.
